About this property

Georgian Manor by River Dyfi

Experience a grand Welsh estate. Set within a private 3-acre riverside plot on the edge of Eryri (Snowdonia), this imposing Georgian manor offers five expansive bedrooms and three bathrooms. Enjoy soaring ceilings, light-filled living spaces, a farmhouse kitchen, and exclusive lawns leading right to the water’s edge. A perfect base for exploring the Dyfi Valley and Cardigan Bay, offering total rural seclusion just a short drive from Machynlleth’s independent shops and eateries.

Set against the scenic backdrop of Mid Wales, this striking Georgian country manor sits within three acres of formal grounds bounded by the waters of the River Dyfi. It offers an expansive, characterful sanctuary tailored for multi-generational families or group getaways looking to unwind and reconnect in a spectacular rural setting.

Arrival is entirely seamless via a secure digital keypad system on the main entrance; your unique access PIN will be sent to you prior to check-in.

Living Spaces: The grand, light-filled lounge features plush seating, an atmospheric log-burning stove, and elegant French doors that step out directly into the gardens. For entertainment, a dedicated recreation room comes complete with a pool table and an extensive library collection.

Cooking & Dining: Designed for large-scale entertaining, the contemporary farmhouse kitchen is fully appointed with a walk-in larder, separate utility zone, and its own garden-facing French doors. Formal meals can be hosted in the magnificent dining room, which showcases a traditional Welsh dresser and a period feature fireplace.

Bedrooms & Washrooms: A sweeping staircase leads to a wide upper gallery overlooking the lawns. The five bedrooms comprise:

A grand master family suite (1 double, 2 single beds).

Three beautifully appointed double bedrooms.

A secondary family suite featuring 2 double beds and a private washbasin.

Three bathrooms service the upper floor: two sleek, modern walk-in shower rooms and a classic vintage suite centered around a luxury roll-top bathtub.

The outdoor spaces are a defining feature of the property. A grand, sweeping driveway guides you to the front facade and a sheltered veranda perfectly positioned for morning coffee. Expansive lawns roll down directly to the water’s edge, providing endless space for outdoor lawn games, picnics, or peaceful riverside relaxation.

The Local Area & Outdoor Pursuits

The Hall balances total country seclusion with excellent local connectivity. The peaceful village of Cemmaes is just a mile away, home to a local shop, a welcoming pub, and a village café. Seven miles down the road lies historic Machynlleth, known for its independent boutiques, local dining, and the Centre for Alternative Technology. For coastal day trips, the sandy shores of Ynys Las and Aberdyfi are less than 19 miles away.

Walking & Cycling: Hit the trails directly from the front door, with the Dyfi Valley Way and Glyndŵr’s Way cutting right through the landscape. The renowned Dyfi Forest Bike Park is an easy 8-mile drive for mountain biking enthusiasts.

Riverside Fishing: Guests can enjoy fly fishing for sea trout and salmon right from the estate grounds between 1 April and 17 October (please note angling is prohibited on Sundays). To participate, you will need a standard rod licence (available online or at the nearby Cemmaes Road post office) along with a local day permit, which can be purchased at the post office shop in Machynlleth (Postcode: SY20 8JZ).

While we want you to experience the estate in absolute privacy and tranquility, please rest assured that we are fully available whenever you need support. For any routine questions or standard requests throughout your time here, simply drop us a line via the platform's messaging portal.

As soon as your reservation is finalised, we will also provide a direct telephone line for time-sensitive or urgent matters. We are always happy to assist to ensure your stay runs smoothly, while fully respecting your space to relax in complete peace

Parking, Amenities & Property Accessibility

Vehicles & Logistics:

The estate features a private driveway with ample parking space accommodating up to six vehicles. Standard check-in opens at 14:00, and checkout is required by 10:00 on your departure morning.

Home Comforts:

The property is fully equipped with contemporary lifestyle essentials, including an induction cooktop, large fridge/freezer, dishwasher, washing machine, and television. For ambient, relaxing evenings, guests are welcome to use the wood-burning stove in the primary lounge. Please note that dogs are not allowed on the property.

Family Stays:

We warmly accommodate younger travellers. A highchair, stairgate, and travel cot are available upon advance request (we kindly ask that you provide your own linen for the cot).

Layout & Accessibility Disclosures:

Please be aware that due to its historic Georgian architecture, the property does not feature specific accessibility modifications. While the main communal living spaces and kitchen are situated on the ground floor, all five bedrooms and the three bathrooms are located on the upper level, accessed exclusively via a grand staircase. There are also structural steps at the primary entrance thresholds and across the tiered garden paths, which may present challenges for individuals with restricted mobility.

Privacy & Security:

To guarantee total guest privacy and peace of mind, there are absolutely no monitoring or recording devices inside the living spaces. For standard property protection and security while the home is vacant, external security cameras monitor the outdoor parameters only.
