About this property

16th Century Elegant & Eccentric Country House ~ Mountain Views

A historic 16th-century country house in the heart of the Carinthian countryside, Kuesshof sleeps up to 10 guests. Ottmanach is surrounded by magnificent mountain ranges, alpine forests and serene lakes, the village offers a peaceful retreat immersed in nature.

Here, in this beautifully renovated house, life slows down. Spend lazy mornings in the garden, cook lavish meals together in the fully equipped kitchen, and dine alfresco beneath the mountains. Gather around the table for long evenings, play games in the atmospheric theatrical wooden-beamed attic, or simply find a quiet corner to read and relax.

For those who want to explore, hike the famous Magdalensberg from the house with promise of a delicious homemade alpine lunch or dinner at the top. Spend warm summer days swimming and relaxing beside the clear waters of Lake Wörthersee.

The Kuesshof is one of the most historically significant buildings in Ottmanach and served as a courthouse for a long time. An old sundial, last renovated in 1997 by Hans Rapoldi, is located on the west facade of the residential building. A niche in the first floor on the south side of the building houses a statue of St. Joseph.
