Casa Fomermeya: a group retreat near the Redes Natural Park

Casa Fomermeya is a spacious and cosy wooden house located in a small Asturian village, facing the impressive Foces del Raigosu and next to the Redes Natural Park. It is rented out as a whole and is especially designed for large families, several families travelling together, and groups of friends who want to get together, relax, and enjoy nature.

The house has seven bedrooms and a very versatile layout: four double beds and twelve single beds, distributed among double rooms and bedrooms with bunk beds. It also has four full bathrooms, a half-bath, and a cot. Bedding and towels are included.

The common areas offer plenty of space to comfortably share your stay. There is a spacious living room with a wood-burning stove and a Smart TV, a dining room with two large tables, and a fully equipped kitchen with a refrigerator, freezer, oven, microwave, dishwasher, washing machine, coffee makers, toaster, kettle, and all necessary kitchenware. The house features heating, high-speed Wi-Fi via Starlink, board games, and a self-service entry system with a smart lock.

Outside, you’ll find a porch, terraces, a garden with tables and chairs, a charcoal grill, and extraordinary views of the valley and the mountains. There is also private parking for several vehicles and a low-power charger for electric cars.

Hiking trails of varying difficulty levels begin right at the front door, including the trail to Los Collaos through the Raigosu Valley. The area is ideal for birdwatching, and in the fall, the bellowing of the deer can be heard right from the porch. Pola de Laviana, with supermarkets, pharmacies, cider bars, and other services, is about a ten-minute drive away. Also nearby are the Puente de Arco river beach and numerous spots from which to explore the mountains, villages, and coast of Asturias.
