Renting this updated and well maintained three bedroom cape home in quiet family friendly neighborhood. Three bedrooms, one queen, and the other two have twin bunk beds, perfect for the kids and their friends. Living room, dining room, bathroom, deck, and wrap around porch. Fully equipped kitchen. Microwave, coffee maker, toaster, dish washer, stove and fridge. Washer and dryer on the first floor. Cable tv and internet. All new wood floors. Grill your catch on the new grill, or enjoy a cocktail on the deck while awaiting dinner. Monument Beach is the perfect location to relax and get away from it all, yet still be close to everything the Cape has to offer. The house is walking distance to the public beach, tennis courts, playground, convenience store, local ice-cream shoppe, bakery and pizza restaurant. You can take a short drive to several restaurants including the Lobster Trap and the Chart Room, the canal bike path, hiking trails, mini golf, water park or golf course. Sandwich, Mashpee, Hyannis, Falmouth, Woods Hole and Ferries to the Islands are close by for short day trips.

Great location steps to beach and clean - Quiet Hidden Gem

Location great - walking distance to two beaches (or you can drive and park to 2nd one if you didn't want to do the walk). House very clean and doesn't smell musty. Owner took great care in doing updates. House was cool (3 A/C units). Owner responsive. Stairs up to the 3 bedrooms are a bit awkward, so small kids and/or older folks need to take care. Yard is small (but still nice) but not fenced in so be sure to bring leash so you don't impose on neighbors right behind you (very friendly). Great back deck and front porch. Linens, beach chairs, etc. provided is great! Could use another pan or two (medium sauce pan, newer frying pan). Maybe 1 more TV in kids room (not that it was an issue). Would def rent again! We had a wonderful time.

Adorable house, near the ocean!

We greatly enjoyed our family vacation this July at this rental. The owner was easy to communicate with and answers question promptly. This newly renovated house has most of all that you need for a family vacation, including comfy sofa in the living room with large T.V., capacious eating area and kitchen, and a large outdoor porch with a porch swing to hang out with the family. The location of the house is easy to get to, just a short drive after the Bourne bridge. The house is situated in a great, little, coastal neighborhood with an extremely short walk to views of the ocean and to Monument beach. There is a playground, tennis courts and a large field nearby for a pet to run around. Monument pizza and the Whistlestop homemade ice cream parlor is in walking distance and worth the visit; we ordered pizza at least 2 times during our stay, super delicious. Also, having Cumberland Farms nearby is a bonus as well. Can't forget the awesome bakery items from Becky's Bakery, next to Cumberland Farms, reasonably priced and worth the trip in the morning for homemade croissants and muffins, just a short walk from this rental. This rental is close to Falmouth and also Sandwich beaches, making it very convenient. Definitely worth making a stop to Summerset Ice Cream Parlor in Falmouth, super yummy ice cream. This rental is in the area of Pocasset, with beautiful views and also walking trails. Buzzard's bay is nearby as well. The only downsides to this rental was that the kitchen was missing some helpful items, like a few more pasta-pots for making sauce and boiling pasta. The stairs are very steep to the upstairs where the bedrooms are located, not an issue for young people. However, you have to be super careful especially at night when going to use the restroom. Another bummer is that there is no outdoor shower, one of my favorite things I look forward to after a long day at the beach. Also, there is little privacy as the rental abuts the next house over and you can see right into the house from the kitchen. I didn't realize the rental has a house somewhat behind it making it less private. There is very little parking at the house, mainly for 2 cars only. The cleaning of the rental before our arrival overall was fine; however there were a few dirty dishes/silverware in the dishwasher and the windows in the house were a little dirty. Overall, great rental for the price and we would definitely consider renting again in the future!

Quaint Cape House

We decided to go on an impromptu vacation to the cape and stumbled upon this adorable house on vrbo for a great price! The porch was a real draw for us, especially the porch swing! The house itself was well stocked with towels, dishes, pans, paper towels, etc. The living area is spacious and comfortable. The backyard is small but efficient with a grassy area, chairs, a grill, and a fire pit (there’s also a back deck). The bushes were in full bloom surrounding the house as well...beautiful! The neighborhood is quiet and charming. The house is very close to Monument Beach. We walked each day. The kids rode their bikes! There’s also a park and tennis court that’s walkable distance from the house. The kids (teenagers) went to Cumberland Farms, which is up the street, at least 4 times a day and there’s a delicious bakery close by. Oh and the ice cream shop! Everything you need for a great vacation week. The weather was beautiful...minus the tornado touching down, but we were far enough away. We just had rain, wind, and lightening and were safe and cozy inside the house! All in all, great location, charming house, and close to local attractions.

Very cute and quaint. Perfect for 5 people.

- Beach right down the street - 15 minutes from a few other beaches on the Atlantic side - Grilled almost every night (gas grill well cared for) - Great to have a washer and dryer - Perfect check-in/out times (not rushed) - Short trip back to Boston - Lots of close activities (we rented a boat one day and drove all over the bay) - The home is very well maintained especially for it’s age and has such a charming aesthetic (right next to decommissioned railroad tracks) - Lots of places to walk in the AM (or with a pet) - friendly community - AC units well placed! - Overall fit everything we wanted within our budget

Myself and my children loved staying here! It was so close to the beach and all of the accommodations were incredible! It was like a home away from home! We will be staying here again for sure! Rich was amazing and always right in contact if needed. We had an amazing time.

We really enjoyed our stay in Bourne. I am from Massachusetts and have been to the outer cape many times, so being on this side was a new experience. Monument Beach is wonderful. Free parking, not crowded, and calm waters because of the canal. The town was not overly busy with traffic and even though there were a lot of vacationers in the neighborhood it was quiet. The house had everything anyone could need and our dog was welcome. There are only two draw backs. No bathroom on the second floor and no screens on the doors. It was muggy and hot as it will be in July, but we could not leave the doors open while in the house because of course flies would come in. So we had to resort to the AC. Yes the house does have several air conditioners so it was comfortable, but I prefer the sea air. Otherwise the property was perfect and there is overflow parking close by if you have visitors. We ate at the Lobster Trap several times and were not disappointed, also the Thai place was very yummy. I would rent this property again for sure. Really enjoyed or stay, thanks so much to Mr. Russell:)
