Beautiful country house with views

We had a fabulous stay here- it is comfortable and the pool was great, despite the short walk to get to it. Beautiful views in all directions.

Splendida location immersa nel verde

Assolutamente da consigliare. Casa molto grande e curata. Spazi esterni godibilissimi. Vista sue colline e sulla splendida cittadina di Todi. Unico neo riguarda la piscina che non è nella proprietà ma è a 200metri in quanto fa parte della proprietà di un agriturismo, in questo momento in ristrutturazione.

We hebben een fijne week doorgemaakt in een mooie omgeving met prima omstandigheden. Een naar gevoel blijft echter de afwikkeling van de schade aan een porceleinen leeslamp die van het nachtkastje is gevallen. Wat je stuk maakt moet je betalen, maar wel in alle redelijkheid. Ik schat de waarde van de lamp op maximaal €40,-. Eigenaar gaf aan dat de schade €150,- zou zijn, en vertelde dat er 2 jaar ervoor ook al eens eenzelfde lamp was gesneuveld en dat de schade toen ca €130 zou zijn geweest. Hij weigerde dan ook de borg te retourneren. We wachten nog op bemiddeling via Belvilla over de afwikkeling van deze in mijn ogen belachelijke claim.

Vooropgesteld we hebben het hier twee weken enorm naar onze zin gehad. Het huis is ruim met grote woonkamer en redelijke kamers. Ons gezelschap van 3 stellen, waarvan 1 met twee kinderen paste net. De kinderen sliepen op een slaapbank in de woonkamer, die qua comfort niet toereikend zou zijn voor twee volwassenen. De keuken is simpel en niet heel erg uitgebreid voorzien van kookgerei of servies. Wij bleken (in juli) de eerste bezoekers sinds de winter. De vaatwasser moest eerst nog worden gerepareerd (een dag lang reparateur op bezoek gehad), het warme water weer -met enige moeite- op gang gebracht en de schimmel uit de koffiezetters hebben we zelf maar schoongemaakt. Gelukkig was het overwegend heet en droog want bij de eerste stortbui kwam de regen in stralen door het plafond. Er bleken afgelopen half jaar scheuren te zijn ontstaan. Vrij snel gerepareerd door 4 klussers met een hoop kit de volgende dag, maar toch weer werk aan het huis. De badkamers op de bovenverdieping lekken ook door naar de benedenverdieping. Wellicht door de stilstand van het gebouw en de rijke hoeveelheid kieren waren er ook relatief veel schorpioenen. De eigenaar, die in het hoofdgebouw van het landgoed woont, is op zich goed aanspreekbaar en onderneemt - soms na herinneren - wel actie, maar baalt duidelijk van de (zijn) tijd die dit kost en lijkt meer begaan met de wijnbusiness (wel goede wijn overigens) dan de gastvrijheid. Het verhuren was misschien niet zijn idee? Na de lekkage - gelukkig geen schade aan onze spullen- wel eerst een aanvaring moeten hebben om later moeizaam toch wat excuses te krijgen. Tot zover de negatieve punten. De plek en het landgoed zijn verder prachtig. Mooi en rustig zwembad (bij hoofdgebouw op 100 m ) en overal prachtige uitzichten over akkers, wijn, olijven en op de prachtige stad Todi op de heuvel verderop, ook 's avonds laat bij zonsondergang vanuit het (op verzoek verlichte) zwembad. Het huisje zelf biedt, vanwege de ligging tov hoofdgebouw, alle vrijheid en men heeft de beschikking over eigen ruime tuin en bv parkeerplek. Verder is het een uitstekende uitvalsbasis voor bezichtigingen in de omgeving, met veel interessante plekken (o.a. Orvieto, Spoleto, Perugia, Assisi) binnen 30-45 min rijden en op anderhalf uur rijden van Rome.

We enjoyed a great time in a great house! The house is beautifully located on the SanRocco wine estate, surrounded by vineyards and olive trees and offers wonderful views on Todi in the far distance! On top of it, we experiencOver de Brennerpas: van 33 naar 17 gradén met regen!!ed the charm and friendlyness of a great owner who cooked us, in the restaurant on the estate, some memorable dinners. Coming home with quite a few bottles of the wonderful wine, we will most certainly have many evenings ahead of us where we will memorise our holiday and long to come back! Ann MacCreanor

Wij hebben een goede week achter de rug. Ontvangst uitstekend, huis biedt voldoende ruimte voor 6 personen. Zitcomfort in woonkamer en buiten is matig. De stoelkussens zijn kapot, onvoldoende glazen. We hebben zelf nog een set gekocht 1 badkamer bleek niet bruikbaar (bij gebruik douche stroomde water de kamer in via het plafond). Tijdens forse regenbui regende het ook in de slaapkamer op de begane grond. Giovanni laat op verzoek heerlijk koken, is goed bereikbaar en heeft heerlijke wijn. Met iets meer aandacht voor onderhoud zou dit de perfecte plek kunnen zijn.

Een idyllisch stijlvol ingericht huis met aangenaam ingerichte ruimtes, 3 mooie rustgevende slaapkamers elk eigen badkamer, en heel comfortabele aparte ruime keuken vanuit de eigen tuin zicht op "gans" Todi, velden, heuvels en dorpjes. Mooi en goed zwembad (op ca 250 meter, leuke wandeling langs boerderijtje) met nog mooiere horizonzichten, in tuin met tientallen soorten bloemen planten, struiken, vruchten... heel stijlvol alweer, op en top umbrie. Wij hadden er de vakantie die we hadden gedroomd complete rust ,maar toch comfort, en adembenemend natuurschoon We wilden er nooit meer weg... We dineerden 1 keer samen met de andere gasten in het restaurantje van de eigenaar, heerlijk !

Zeer vriendelijke eigenaar, spreekt goed Engels. Soms is het eigen restaurant open. De kwaliteit van het eten en de wijnen is uitstekend. De 300 meter naar het zwembad was vrij stijl.
