About this property
Private Entrance and Bath, 1 BR, Central N Valley. Wifi, Good Neighborhood
This is a 1 bedroom with well-lit outdoor private entrance and long off-street driveway, in a quiet, mature neighborhood. The spacious, private bathroom has double sinks and double shower heads. Sleep comfortably on a firm, double bed. The unit only has these 2 rooms. It is perfect for one or two people on business travel, or a quiet getaway. It has refrigerated air for those hot NM days, and electric and gas combo heat for the winter time.
There is a nice 6ft table for one to do computer work, read, or just spread out.
Amenities include a microwave, coffee maker, small refrigerator, set of dishes, and some coffee, tea, sweetners are provided.
It is walking distance to groceries, restaurants, public library, public pool. It is bike riding distance to the Bosque where there are great bike paths and a nice way to visit Bike-In_Coffee, where there is usually live music. It is not far from the Balloon Fiesta grounds, and 2 miles North of I-40. The Valley of Albuquerque is culturally distinct from the Heights of Albuquerque, protecting the more rural feel and places for people to grow gardens and animals. There is skiing in the nearby mountains of Albuquerque, Santa Fe and Toas. Many people enjoy rafting or kayaking the waters of New Mexico, also. And there is plenty of hiking and lots of Indian Pueblos, and cultural places to visit. And of course, we host the Balloon Fiesta each October.
In my backyard, I grow an organic garden; that includes the food, the weeds, the bugs, the birds... the whole bit! :) Hopefully you can enjoy a work in progress!
In the rare case that you might be a dancer, let me know, and I can tell you about all the different genres in Albuquerque.
This site is setup so that I receive your inquiry for future dates and approve them. If you are looking for accommodations for TONIGHT in addition to future nights, please send an inquiry to me and I can approve that as an "Early Arrival" if the room is available tonight.
Since the advent of the COVID precautions, there are places for you to store food, but I am not providing anything except ground coffee, tea bags, and pre-packaged sweetner for your use.
No smoking is allowed. No pets are allowed.
Checkin after 5 pm (unless arranged otherwise); checkout by 11 am.

About the host
Hosted by Sheri

New Mexico has been my home since the late 80's. I appreciate the diversity here and the wide range of customs brought by the many different cultures. I immerse myself in the music, dance and art of many of the different cultures that are present here. I enjoy biking, gardening, some hiking and composing music.
Why they chose this property
Located centrally in Albuquerque, it is not hard to get to any part of the city from here. This particular area is quite charming, with every house and property having its own unique voice. Bike ride to the Rio Grande Nature Center, Bike in Coffee and trails. Close to Indian Pueblo Cultural Center, the N Valley Library. Can see balloons in the air from here. Takes about the same time to get to downtown as Corrales or south Rio Rancho or mid-town malls. Airport is between 15 and 20 min, depending on traffic.
