In the beautiful bastide of Domme, house with garden and veranda, classified 3 stars by the Tourism department of the Dordogne. Large living room of 35m2 with well equipped kitchen (dishwasher and washing machine). Shower and separate toilet. Upstairs 2 bedrooms, toilet with a small sink.
The garden is fully walled with stones of the country. It has a barbecue, garden furniture and sun loungers. With the veranda of 20 m2 you can enjoy the outdoors even if it rains.
The house is in a quiet street, yet restaurants, terraces, bakery and grocery store are within 5 minutes walk. Possibility of parking in front of the house. The river Dordogne is 2 km, Sarlat 15 km.

Erholung pur

Wir hatten 2 tolle Wochen in diesem gemütlichen alten Dorfhaus und uns wunderbar erholt. Es hat uns an nichts gefehlt, insbesondere der verwunschene kleine Garten (nahezu uneinsehbar) ist ein wunderbarer Rückzugsort. Die Lage im Dorf ist sehr ruhig und am Rand, hier kam nur ab und zu einmal ein Tourist vorbei. Sehr vorteilhaft ist der Anwohnerparkausweis. Ohne diesen wäre die Parkplatzsuche mühsam. Im Haus gibt es kein Wlan, das haben wir anfänglich vermisst. Geht aber auch mal gut ohne. Einen Hinweis zum Bett haben wir: die Länge ist 190cm. Uns hat es aufgrund unserer Größe nicht gestört. In Domme gibt es nach unserem Geschmack wenig gute Restaurants (Cabanoix und La Rode) hier sollte man reservieren und die frühe Schließung beachten -Küche bis max. 21 Uhr. Es war ein sehr schöner Urlaub! Lieben Dank an die Vermieterin Saskia.

Perfect stay

This house made our stay in Domme perfect. The location was nice and peaceful but still within the village. Out of season the village was very quiet after 6pm, which could be an issue, however, coming back to such a nice, relaxing property did not make you feel you were missing out. The conservatory in particular was great as the weather wasn't quite warm enough to sit outside, but in there you could still experience the beautiful outdoors. The house had modern decor but still retained its traditional character. It was kept to a high standard and was spotless. The house had plenty of room and felt very comfortable. The kitchen was well equipped, the shower was excellent and having an additional toilet upstairs was handy. Additionally, the residents parking permit made for easy and accessible parking in such a small village where parking is a premium and can cost. We would not hesitate to book again if we return to the area.

Séjour plus qu agréable dans cette petite maison bien équipée et très bien située à Domme. La véranda est un plus par temps un peu mausade. Je ne peux que recommander cette maison !

When I passed through Domme on one of my trips I was enchanted by the ambiance of this lovely medieval bastide. I decided to buy a house to spend more time there. I like to share my holiday home with other travellers when I am not using it.

Why they chose this property

Commentaire:
This is a quaint, recently renovated house in the beautiful medieval village of Domme. The house was well-equipped, and the sun loungers in the garden provided a great place to catch up on some reading. It was private and peaceful. Domme was a lovely place to stay. The house was within walking distance of a few good restaurants and two boulangeries. There are some lovely little shops here and underground caves which we didn't get round to exploring. There's a great view over the Dordogne from two of the restaurants, and the river is a five minute drive downhill. I'm glad we chose this house rather than Sarlat, which was great to visit but much larger and busier. I highly recommend it!
