About this property

We have 2 1/2 acres of tree-lined semi-rural property. This in-law/granny unit is on the side of our house and has plenty of privacy. There is ample parking right outside the apartment and it has a small, fenced garden area with a bistro table. Fully stocked kitchen. Very modern but with a few victorian antiques and mid-century bedroom set. Unfortunately this place is not wheelchair accessible. It has it's own water heater, w/d, and wifi network.

There is a second, larger vacation rental on the property, convenient for people who want to rent near their friends or family, especially if they have pets. We call it Nipomo Cottage.

This property is especially nice for longer stays. It's set up to be very cozy, rather than posh.

Slice of Heaven

Absolutely divine. The studio is pristine and incredibly well appointed. The bed is so comfortable slept like a baby. Everything you heart desires for long term stay. Wonderful kitchen I was thrilled with the well stocked spices and sweet gas stove. The property is private, so easy to access. Owls hooting dusk and dawn. Lovely view of yard and swaying eucalyptus trees, with a Meyers lemon tree. Convenient to Pismo, Avila, Grover Beach and then back home to relax away from the hubbub. Can’t wait to go back! Suzanne is a wonderful host who obviously takes pride in the property.

Great place near Nipomo

The little attached guest house is perfect! I really enjoyed the spacious grounds ( 2 acres) and the friendly host and the sense of safety and quietness. Thoughtfully done. Highly recommend it to other guests!

Wonderful getaway apartment!

Good location - very safe. Enjoyed the cool temps. Suzy was very helpful and quick to respond to any questions. Very good experience all round. Roosters were a novelty for us. Would stay here again.

We moved to this 3 residence property in Nipomo in 2011 with the intention of converting the 2 guest spaces into vacation rentals. We began renting the guest house in 2012 and the apartment in 2017. Our kids were in elementary school but now they're in college.

Why they chose this property

Our rentals are very popular for longer stays. We get people who need to get out of the snow for a few months in the winter, or out of the heat for a few months in the summer.

We get a lot of folks who are in town for work, such as traveling nurses. It's also popular for people buying or building in the area who need a place to stay until their property becomes available. There is plenty of space if you have a truck or trailer that you need to park somewhere.

What makes this property unique

We're in between Blacklake and Monarch Dunes, so if you're a golfer, you're in the right spot! It's also very private and quiet, surrounded by pine trees, with little light pollution so you can often see an amazing sky full of stars. You can even see the launches from VAFB from right outside the apartment!

You can expect to hear great horned owls at night and red-tailed hawks during the day.
