About this property

"Almost" Brand New 2020 "Modern Farm House ". Close to beach and wine country

It's called the 4 gables Farm House. High ceilings, open floorpan and porches.... lots of outside sitting porches with lovely teak furniture. It's a fun family home. Nestled in the coastal oaks on a private road with a private gate and fenced yard. Everything is "almost" new. Great beds, furniture and couches. Large family rooms with fireplaces and views of the oaks and glimpses of vineyards and the ocean. Three rooms have ensuite baths. Lots of teak outdoor furniture and a fire pit and gas BBQ grill.

Sparkling clean 4000 sq ft and it sleeps 12 people. The large apartment above the 3 car garage is 2 bedroom and 2 full baths and a great escape from any annoying kids, family or crazy relative. It also has a large deck off of the back with comfy chairs and rockers and a peek at the ocean. It also has a full kitchen and is 1200 square ft. So the whole house can accommodate 12 guests. Eight in the main part of the house and 4 up in the apartment. When my wife and I use the house we usually stay up in the apartment. It's like a private treehouse in the oaks.

The house was completed in the late summer of 2020 and fully furnished. The Kitchen is dialed in with every gadget, pot, pan, appliance and spice you might need. We stock paper plates, napkins ziplock bags, aluminum foil and everything else you'd have at your own house. All of the bedrooms are spacious and the ceilings are all 9 ft tall so it feels open and airy. The living, dining kitchen area is wide open which makes it a fun family friendly house to interact with the chefs in the group.

The master bedroom is located downstairs and has a private exterior door to a access the porch. The master bath is elegant and open. There are wood floors though out the house and the upstair bedrooms are carpeted. Being a new house the place is overly insulated, comfy and super quiet. The design is classic and as a builder this is one of the best designs I have ever built.

Our adult children live in the area and my son lives in the house next door. So if there are any needs that you might have.... someone from the family is just minutes away. The house is fully fenced and very private with an electric entry gate.

This remains our favorite house to gather with our extended family. A beautiful and central location to relax. Plenty of room for everyone in the two living spaces, the expansive covered porch, and the fire pit area. The house continues to remain well appointed and maintained.

Amazing Home in Arroyo Grande

This home is absolutely beautiful, new furnishings, excellent location, very private, easy check in! Worked great for our work trip of 14 days, everyone was comfortable and enjoyed the modern amenities this home features. I would recommend this home and will definitely stay here again!

Gorgeous ranch home in Arroyo

We had the best time staying at this stunning ranch home in arroyo grande. The views were spectacular as we enjoyed coffee outside each morning and especially enjoyed the treehouse addition on the second story. The location was remote but still very accessible to our weekend activities in SLO- we couldn’t have chosen a better spot. Steve was the greatest host of all time and made sure our group was taken care of during our stay. Great communication and hospitality was 10/10. Hope to stay again soon!

Stunning Property

We rented this home while In town for my daughter’s wedding. First, The owner Steve could not have been more gracious and responsive. This house is gorgeous with beautiful finishes and design. The kitchen is fully stocked with everything you could possibly need. The property is studded with beautiful live oak and it is very private. We absolutely loved it as did our guests. I highly recommend!

Just the best!

This was our second stay at this home and it was absolutely perfect (again). Hands down the nicest, coolest, cleanest vacation rental we have ever stayed in. So perfect for families. We came with 9 adults, one infant, one toddler and everyone had the best time. We were all so impressed with the quality and care that has gone into making this more than just a home, but a whole experience. Gorgeous furnishings, spotless bathrooms, luxury amenities, firepit, espresso machine, cozy family room, great patios, beautiful lighting -- I can't think of one thing I would change. Wow!

We love to travel and stay in vacation rentals so we have stayed in many places over the years. This one ranks up there as one of the best! Everything was amazing: setting, beautiful house, quality amenities, nicest most accommodating host, plenty of space for our family of 10. My 90-year-old mother-in-law felt quite spoiled with the main floor suite (we just couldn't imagine her going up and down the stairs). We were very comfortable in the suite above the garage. Wish we could have stayed longer but we will keep this place in mind for the future. Highly recommend this elegant vacation home for large families!

Beautiful modern house with all details exquisitely taken care of

The house is modern, clean, comfortable and very well appointed. The outdoor area was excellent with a good grill, a propane fire pit and landscaped garden which inclined away from the house. One can clearly see all details have been thought of. From the modern kitchen appliances, the three sets of washer-dryers to the heated to the perfectly furnished walk in closets. On top of that Steve was attentive but not intrusive, polite and with a good sense of humour. We were a group of five couples and a single person. We could not have asked for a better property to catch up with each other. Thank you very much!

Gorgeous, spotless new home with stunning central coast views!!

This home is an absolute masterpiece and there’s no other way to describe it! We came with extended family, including our dog and baby, and this house comfortably accommodated all of us. Our jaws dropped when we walked in the door. Everything was spotlessly clean, with an open layout and beautiful mid-century modern style furnishings. We loved everything about this home. Comfy, cozy beds with plenty of bathrooms and large closets. A wonderful living room space adjacent to the open kitchen so that our family could partake in cooking, conversation, and board games all at once. We enjoyed every morning with hot lattés on the deck rocking chairs, and every evening out by the firepit watching the sunset with a glass of wine, enjoying each other's company and the peace and quiet of the California central coast. It's easy to take a walk out through back gate, and just a 10 min short drive to Pismo beach, and plenty of other fun hikes and sights to see nearby in San Luis Obispo (SLO). We also had a chance to briefly meet Steve and his son, who were wonderfully welcoming, helpful and kind. Overall this was a stellar experience and probably the nicest VRBO I've stayed in. Go enjoy it before they change their mind about renting it out as a vacation home!

Amazing home!

Thanks for everything Steve and Johannes. This is a beautiful home. As a contractor myself I am thoroughly immpressed with the top of the line finishes, attention to detail, and beautiful decorating. This is a high end home and I would give more stars if I could. I hope it's available next time we travel to SLO!

Home among the trees

This house is beautiful and equipped with anything you might need. The house sits amongst the oaks and you feel as if you are in a hideaway. Everything was sparkling clean and my family definitely wants to go back.

Great family rental

This house truly met our needs as a 3 generational family vacation house over the New Year's holiday. The millennials stayed in the apt above the garage. The property is fenced so safe for children to enjoy. I appreciated being able to communicate with owner Steve personally. Great to have so many bathrooms and most have a bidet, too. There's even a 'Critter Coral' across the road where you can walk around and feed the critters for 2 pp. A short drive to Pismo for the beach. Our family had a lovely time in this beautiful house.

Great property - exactly as advertised

7 adults, 2 kids, family reunion. The house is in great shape with high quality appliances and furnishings. Everything works. Stocked with a plethora of dishes/glasses/utensils etc. Plenty of space and a wonderful and peaceful backyard. We spent most of our 4 night trip in the house and it was quite comfortable and enjoyable for the whole family.

Thanksgiving Retreat

We had an amazing stay at this beautiful home! Our group consisted of 9 adults, 1 teen, and a toddler, and the space was perfect for all of us. The home itself is stunning, with gorgeous appointments throughout that make it feel luxurious and comfortable. The floor plan was ideal for our group, offering plenty of space for everyone to relax and enjoy each other's company. The kitchen was a major highlight—it was fully stocked with everything we needed and more, including high-end appliances and cookware. Whether we were preparing meals or just enjoying a snack together, it made a huge difference to have such a well-equipped kitchen. We couldnʻt ask for more for our Thanksgiving getaway. Overall, this home exceeded our expectations in every way. We would highly recommend it for any large group or family looking for a beautiful, well-appointed place to stay.

Pismo Family Trip

We loved our stay! Everything was top-notch. The owners did a fabulous job building and furnishing the property. They are very generous people who want their guests to enjoy the best. The house was fully stocked. The separate, but connected apt., was perfect. We had 6-month-old twin grandbabies join us, so it was great having a separate unit. Family get away!

This is a very well equipped, spacious property, close to stores, restaurants and activities. Plenty of room to be together and plenty of room for alone time. Although close to Hiway 101, you feel like you're out in the country. Our stay was meant to be a family gathering and the family will come back again.

Great Experience

This is a terrific property. Clean and modern. It's near SLO and Pismo Beach, plenty of hiking, shopping, and beach going in the area. Easy communication and all questions answered before our stay. I would certainly recommend this property to others. No question.

My wife and I live in Santa Barbara County but our children were raised in the San Luis Obispo area. They are all living very close the the VRBO rental. We have lived and worked in the Central Coast for over 40 years

Why they chose this property

As a builder I purchased 2 of these 5 acre parcels when they went on the market several years ago. My daughter was bugging me as to why I wasn't doing anything with them. What is it with Kids? Anyway ... between her mother the interior designer and my daughter a landscape artist and designer, and her husband a structural engineer and my other son who is also a licensed contractor .... we all said... lets build these lots out.

SLO county allows for a 1200 sq ft secondary home and a main house of any size so we put two homes on each lot and they turned out great. The property is a bit hidden and the oaks are wonderful. Lots of space, filtered well water with the latest greatest technology and 500 gallons of propane is a good start. Solar panels are now in place so leave the lights on.... Lots of folks have horses around this area which makes it pretty fantastic.

What makes this property unique

It's a big house. We have had other large vacation rentals and they are so great for family gatherings. This house is sweet in that it has a very private 2 bedroom apartment above the garage. It is quiet and a nice getaway for whoever books it or grandma and grandpa. If a lot of folks are in the house......this is the refuge. It is elevated and offers nice views with a balcony deck and comfortable furniture. It is a great house for family reunions and everyone enjoys the kitchen. We have chefs come in and they love the amenities.

My wife and daughter and daughter in law did a great job (meaning they spent a load of money) on the interior furniture and decorations. When it is not rented my wife and I will go up to visit the the kids and grandkids and guess where everyone likes to hang out?

I'm writing too much but we love to share this place and ....we get to enjoy it too. All we ask is that you treat it like your own and let us know if you break stuff. Its a new place and "stuff" happens so we continue to make it better based on your feedback,,,. which we appreciate. So far .......it has been pretty good.
