About this property

"O Canada" & "Idaho" Yurts

Our two gorgeous and spacious Yurts— a perfect basecamp experience when beginning or ending a Yellowstone National Park vacation. Choose from "Here We Have Idaho" or "O Canada" at Aspen Grove Inn at Heise Bridge. Each yurt sleeps four-- with one queen bed and 2 twins— all with luscious bedding— and clever decor. AC in summer and pellet stove heat in winter. A PortaPottie very close by, plus our “Loo-euvre" restroom and shower house are a short walk away. Please see a guest copy of our property map in your yurt.
The two yurts are set among large evergreen trees and smaller native cottonwood trees. Because our Inn is located in a high-mountain area, the yurts stay cool at night, even during warm summer days. Your personal firepit with fire wood available for purchase, two chairs, a Char-Grill egg grill (bring your charcoal or purchase from our camp host), and a picnic table just outside your yurt complete your comfortable adventure.
Absolutely gorgeous sunsets each night, and the mighty Snake River is across the road from the Inn's property. Heise Hot Springs with hot pool, warm pool, summer pool and waterslide is 1.2 miles further up the canyon. Recreation abound both on site and off site. On site there is our Famous Borrow Barn with dozen of activities-- all complementary with your stay: 9-hole disc golf course with scorecards and maps, bocce, horseshoes, tetherball, croquet, badminton, volleyball, 8 bicycles, and 3 pedal boats for The Pond (requires constant adult supervision, absolutely no swimming in The Pond, and 14 and under must wear life jackets we provide). Off site and mostly within 1.5 miles: hundreds of miles of ATV trails, a pizza parlor, zip lining, the hot springs and pools, a Par 3 9-hole golf course, a miniature golf course, and a driving range. Bear World is an easy 15 miles away. A very wonderful and memorable stay!

More than!
Everything about this place was perfect! There were so many good things that kept popping out to surprise us that we felt like we should have stayed longer. The borrow barn was awesome, the bathrooms were uber clean and so stylish, there was an adorable little kid’s park, and the My Little Pony/Spirit horsey bouncy thing was way too much fun! Plus, the bikes with those cool beach bars were just so extra, as were the pedal boats. The library, the beautiful landscaping, the grass volleyball court…holy cow! And I haven’t even started on the whole reason we came—the YURT! So so cozy and beautiful and everything you could possibly need. That oven! We broiled a pork tenderloin in that thing for dinner and then two hours later we had cinnamon toast prepared in that same little oven (Nacho Libre is definitely onto something). The linens were fresh and nice, furniture super cool—‘Here We Have Idaho’ yurt was so beyond great! Here’s a secret, though, the picture of the yurt on Vrbo was not the kind of yurt we stayed in—it was way better!

Glamping Tents not ready, appreciated free upgrade to a cabin!
We greatly appreciated the free upgrade to a cabin since the glamping tent I originally rented wasn’t yet set up. The collection of lodging options are all VERY close together, much closer than the descriptions led me to believe, so the glamping tents would have been a not so nice option. The cabin was spotless, had very comfortable beds, lovey furnishings, and was very close to the communal bathhouse which had 2 free showers on one side and 2 toilets on the other side. (Which we’re all spotlessly clean too.) Again, everything is quite close together and the collection of cabins and the 2 glamping tents had very little space between them and the piece of property where the cabins and tents are is very small, surrounded by a gravel drive. So, not a woodsy experience in any way, and it felt crowded. Not full occupancy when we stayed happily, and our overnight experience was overall ok.

Perfect glamping spot!
This property has so much attention to detail. The owner really has thought through everything you might need. We stayed two nights and we were very comfortable. I recommend Heise springs for the pool and pizza. We also took a short drive to Hell’s half acre lava field and Ririe dam. Idaho falls river walk is very nice. Unfortunately we had some significant rain so we didn’t get much hiking in. The tent stayed dry so that was a huge plus! Definitely would recommend!

Why they chose this property

Peaceful and quiet place in Idaho that has a strong reputation for family reunions, romantic getaways, recreation, and the occasional wedding. Incredible wildlife viewing along the Snake River which is just across the road. Heise Hot Springs and Kelly Canyon Ski Hill are the two main draws to this Idaho countryside canyon, plus amazing scenic drives and fantastic regional activities such as Yellowstone National Park, Grand Teton National Park, Jackson Hole Wyoming, Idaho Falls museums, Rexburg Rapids Water Park, BYUI campus, and Bear World. Most guests appreciate staying at least 3 nights to take it all in.
