The Aspens is the best location in Jackson - right between the quaint village of Jackson (within 8 miles) and world-class skiing and summer fun at Jackson Hole Ski Resort (within 5 miles). Both are minutes away.
Best of all, the area is quiet and filled with wildlife. You will love the beautiful outdoor scenery & indoor art on the walls, plus all the little things we provide to make your stay comfortable and relaxing.
Guests can enjoy the entire place. It is a one-bedroom, one-bath condo with a private bedroom (queen bed), one set of bunk beds, a window bed (see picture), and a large sectional. We have tried to think of everything a guest might need in the kitchen, including a coffee-maker, cookware, blenders, slow cookers, utensils, and wine glasses. The living room has lots of comfy pillows and blankets.
I may not be able to meet the guests in person, but I am always available to answer questions or help in any way.
Moose and other wildlife:
A great place to see Moose in the summer is any patches of water along Moose-Wilson Road. Moose love the water. If you don’t see any on the drive, pull into Rendezvous Park at the corner of Moose-Wilson and Hwy 22. Drive slowly and look for dark shapes around the water on both sides of the road. Evenings are your best bet. It goes without saying (but we will say it anyway) that wild animals are indeed wild. If you want to take pictures, that is great. But remember to give them their space and be safe.
Dining guide:
There are a ton of great restaurants in the Jackson area, too many to choose from ;)
Nearby: One of my favorites nearby is Calico. Calico offers excellent food, a beautiful outdoor setting during the summer, and a cozy fireplace in the winter. For just a quick sandwich, Aspen Market (walking distance from the Condo) offers fresh soups and sandwiches as well as a surprising variety of groceries.
In Jackson, Merry Piglet’s tacos downtown are an overlooked gem. For a quick bite and a really great salad bar, try Bubba's. Sidewinders (across from Bubbas) has a nice, varied menu and friendly staff. “Local” restaurant downtown and Million Dollar Cowboy are both really popular! Oh - and don't forget Thai-Me-Up for some fun Thai-inspired fare.
Start Bus: There is a public bus system in Jackson called Start Bus. You can find their full schedule and even track where each of the buses is in real-time by googling "start bus Jackson real-time" (sorry, URLs don't come through in Airbnb/VRBO). The buses all have bike racks. The Town of Jackson subsidizes the buses to keep the fares very low - they range from free to $3. The Start Bus goes to Calico restaurant, Albertsons, Teton Village, Snow King, and of course, downtown Jackson... to name a few.
