Welcome to Corte del Norte, a boutique hotel comprised of three houses and onsite, take out restaurant Para Llevar. Corte has a lush communal courtyard with billiards room, adobe and glass "dining shed", stock tank "pool" and fire pits, grills and a fireplace in the dining shed.
The Rock City House has one bedroom and one bath along with a living room, and kitchen. This home sleeps 4 with one queen bed in the bedroom and a custom Garza Marfa sectional sofa made with two twin mattresses in the living room. Since Marfa is at 5,000 ft elevation it has an average highs in the upper 80's and lows in the upper 50's in AUGUST with no have plenty of blankets for cold summer nights!
Located on HWY 90 at the corner of Dean and San Antonio, Corte del Norte was home to the 'mother of West Texas Tex-Mex' according to Robb Walsh in his book, The Tex-Mex Cookbook. From 1887 until 1987, the Old Borunda Cafe served both locals and movie stars alike, including James Dean and Elizabeth Taylor during the filming of Giant. Now home to the corner stores including Se Vende - Marfa's own art and fun filled vending machine.
