BEAUTIFUL CUSTOM CABIN Near Bass Lake and Yosemite
The tranquil beauty of this area is the perfect recipe for relaxation and rejuvenation. Come enjoy the spectacular wonders of Yosemite National Park, Bass Lake and the Ansel Adams wilderness. Thousands of acres of hiking trails, clear mountain streams and lakes within a short driving distance from the property welcome you all year. The peace of this area is a perfect setting for family gatherings, personal retreats and leisurely exploration. At all seasons of the year it provides a lovely home to return to after a day of skiing, snow boarding, snow mobile riding or sledding in the nearby snow parks, wilderness areas and ski resorts at Sierra Summit and Badger Pass.
This lovely mountain retreat is a perfect nesting place to stay and recharge after a glorious day in the mountains. Many people choose to just stay here during the day and relax on the deck or in the spacious great room and enjoy the natural setting away from the busyness of the city.
It is a beautiful custom 1200 square foot house located adjacent to the Sierra National Forest. It is 3 miles from Bass Lake and 23 miles from Yosemite National Park. The land is a wildlife sanctuary for deer, silver foxes and other wonderful creatures. There are no hiking trails on the property itself. There are many trails within short driving distance. There is a book at the house that gives information on recreational activities in the area.
There is custom stonework behind the wood stove depicting a mountain sunrise with trees and clouds made by a world class stone mason. There is a flat screen television in the great room with ROKU access. There is NO cable or Dish.
The kitchen has granite counter tops. The bathrooms both have dual shower heads. There are 2 bedrooms. Each Bedroom has a queen sized bed. The kind of air conditioning in the cabin is a water evaporation cooler commonly called a 'swamp cooler'.IT IS NOT AN AIR CONDITIONER . It works well and is very refreshing unless it is humid and very hot outside. Then, it cools the house down but not as well as a regular 'air conditioner'. It will typically cool the house to about 15 degrees cooler than the outside temperature during these hot (80 to 100 and over) summer days. The nights are cool even in the hottest weather so it's lovely to sleep with the windows open and breathe in the pines and healing mountain air.
The house is nestled among pines, oaks and manzanitas with cedar log pillars at the front entry and forming the landscaped gardens.
It is a sacred site perfect for personal creative retreats, solitude and recreation.

We really enjoyed the cabin while we spent four days at Yosemite national Park. We even had a family a deer that laid around in the yard behind the patio, which was nice to see.
This home is in great shape; doesn’t feel like a rental with cheap fittings. Very close to water activities at Bass Lake, close to little grocery store. It was about 90 degrees outside and with the homes cooling system (not air conditioner) and closed drapes in sunny windows, the inside was comfortable. Very artistic rock fireplace and showers. The home itself sits in the middle of hills/mature trees. No one around but the 6! Mature stags grazing outside the patio in the AM. We will return and highly recommend.
This cabin was perfect for our getaway to Yosemite this weekend. Communication was great, instructions were clear, everything was exactly as advertised. Would totally stay here again.
Extremely well-organized and intuitive with signage/instructions. Beds were comfy and sights/sounds of nature all around. Great place to feel away from it all but close to shops and dining for last minute needs/wants. We thoroughly enjoyed our time!
The home is attractive and is very comfortably appointed. The house is secluded away from all traffic with peaceful views of the countryside. The drive from the home to the south entrance of Yosemite National Park is a delightful drive. It is very close to Bass Lake which has options for Lake activities.
The cabin is peaceful and so well appointed. The beds comfortable and the bathrooms spotlessly clean. We loved the wild turkeys and the deer in the garden. Mary was delightful to deal with. We would definitely stay here again if we are in the area.
This was a place to rejuvenate and replenish one’s energy, in tranquil surroundings.
We had a wonderful three day stay in this lovely cabin. Close to Bass Lake, Yosemite, and the town of Northfork, but far enough away to feel completely away from it all. The cabin is well furnished with anything you might need in the kitchen for making full meals, has a washer/dryer, and a lovely sitting room and dining area. The two bedrooms both have en-suite bathrooms and wonderful double faucet showers.a great place to enjoy all that nature has to offer!

My husband and I stayed there for 2 nights, and I totally regretted not staying longer! The place is exactly what the pictures show, it is cozy, quiet, and comfortable. And we are planning to come back in the future! We love it!!!
The custom cabin was beautiful, clean, and comfortable. The surrounding property was quiet and offered plenty of privacy. The watering hole next to the cabin brought in fox, wild turkey, and deer that we could watch from the wrap-around porch. By far the best rental property that I have stayed in!
Marty your place is amazing! The wrap around deck, the spacious living room and kitchen. Everything was perfect…..even the deer that live under the deck that greeted us every morning was such a beautiful bonus! Thank you for the hospitality and we’d love to stay here again!

Perfect cabin
Beautiful cabin nestled in the trees. Just sitting on the deck and listening to the silence was amazing! Bring a citronella candle so you can sit out longer.
The TV didn't work but we didn't care. The deer frequented the property and we saw a coyote. Wish we could have stayed longer!

The Perfect Mountain Vacation!
We stayed at Mary's cabin and cannot say enough wonderful things about it. The cabin is lovely, comfortable and homey. Mary was a pleasure to deal with, very professional and helpful. We loved nearby Bass Lake as well as ATV-ing in the mountains while we were there. We enjoyed breakfast on the deck each morning and loved watching the wild turkeys on the property. We were lucky enough to be there when Yosemite re-opened after the wildfires and Mary's condo provided the perfect place to stay while we explored the park. We highly recommend this rental. Thank you Mary for a memorable vacation!

Family trip
We loved the home and it had everything we needed. I would advise not having more than four because the pad provided for our fifth person was not that comfortable. The road in was rough as we went to and fro. Our minivan made it though. Loved seeing the deer and turkeys out in the yard. I would love to stay again if we ever go west. The owner is very helpful and caring. Thank you!
A true escape from the hustle and bustle of the city. We enjoyed relaxing on the wrap around deck and in the sunny living room with floor to ceiling windows. The fireplace has a beautifully artistic stone wall. The kitchen is well equipped with lots of pots and pans. Before we left I asked the owner, Mary, whether there was a coffee grinder. Lo and behold, there was a brand new coffee grinder when we arrived! Mary also was real helpful in suggesting food and grocery recommendations. Another plus to our stay was that Mary is an acupuncturist, so my husband enjoyed setting up a therapy session with her (her home is just up the hill). My only suggestion for improvement would be to include some kitchen towels.
Perfect location and prefect property for exploring Yosemite, Kings Canton, and Sequoia National Parks as well as the bonus of being conveniently located near beautiful Bass Lake. Mary's Cabin is beautiful inside and out. If you want serenity after a long day exploring one of the most stunning areas of our country, this is the place for you. Total silence will only be broken by the chirping of birds. and where else can you come home to a buck deer under your deck and 4 of his friends behind the cabin. Loved this place!
