Enjoy the open floor plan while you gaze out to sea or sip a cup of coffee in the morning while the rainbows start your day. Well equipped kitchen with NEW QUARTZ SLABS and conversation bar, living room, dining area, and new LVP flooring throughout. Spacious bedroom, new interior paint remodeled bathroom with tub and newer furnishings and decorations throughout our home.

Our home away from home is located on the third floor (with elevator) providing expansive ocean and Molokai views, overlooks a gorgeous Koi Pond and finely manicured tropical landscaping.

Our condo is located in the Papakea Resort, and is located at 3543 Lower Honoapiilani Road, Maui, Hawaii. Papakea is between Kaanapali and Kapalua on the westside of Maui. Our unit comfortably sleeps four with king-size bed in the bedroom, and queen-size sofa bed in the living room. We also feature air conditioning, ceiling fans in living room and bedroom, hair dryer and a washer and dryer in the unit, for your comfort.

Our condo is situated in an oceanfront complex, which sits on thirteen acres of tropical landscape, accented by freshwater ponds and expansive lawns. It is great for families or a quaint getaway. Being located in Maui's popular Kaanapali area, near championship golf courses, a wonderful farmer's market (for fresh local fruit and produce), shopping and dining, makes this a 'high demand' vacation spot. The complex features a 24-hour manned lobby, concierge service for booking your outings, elevators for every building, luggage carts, two newly remodeled pool areas, with a Lanais at each location, along with twelve gas barbeques and patio furniture for your dining pleasure (six at each pool), two Jacuzzis, two 12-hole putting greens, with putter rentals at front desk (for a nominal fee), three lighted tennis courts and two shuffleboards. Papakea also features water aerobics and yoga classes, as well as a great putting contest throughout the week (see schedule at check-in).

There is so much more nearby including the upscale Whaler’s Village shopping center, which features upscale shopping and dining as well as the casual souvenir shopping, and it's located right on the beach. Just a quick car ride to ocean outings such as deep-sea fishing, whale watching tours, snorkeling cruises, and sunset sailing adventures, and world class golf (Kapalua Bay and Plantation Courses).

Speaking of Beaches, Maui is world famous for its beaches, and you will find that you can trek from the beach in front of our unit endlessly along the coastline.

We have an activity director in our lobby, which can assist you in booking endless fun, including luaus, whale watching tours, sailing, horseback riding, snorkeling, golf, biking down a volcano, wine tasting, fishing, jet skiing, windsurfing, surf lessons, etc.

We take pride in our home away from home and hope you enjoy it as much as we do.

We have stayed at Papakea four times and really love the place. This unit was not our favorite. It was clean enough on the surface but seriously needs a deep clean. For example, some of the kitchen utensils were not clean, and the slider screen door was difficult to slide due to accumulated dirt. There is also a lot of ‘deferred maintenance’ that could be addressed. Shower door leaks, and leaves blew in under the front door because there is no weather stripping, curtain in the bedroom is falling down in one corner. Also be aware that the TVs are not smart and we were unable to get any streaming services-only basic cable. Kind of disappointing, so take your Fire Stick or similar. Overall we were fairly comfortable. The view is great and the grounds are spectacular. Location great too.

Great Location!

We enjoyed the location of Papakea as it was close to a supermarket, food trucks, an ABC store, and central to locations. The condo had all the necessary amenities. Only complaint is the bedroom mattresses was too soft for our liking. Kids enjoyed the pool. The property has older population but they didn’t seem to mind our energetic kids. We’d stay here again.

Nice property, but no bathtub really

Great location, overall property was well maintained, the unit was very good, though several areas were overlooked in cleaning. I feel that the $165 cleaning fee was really high, and there is no need for a $17/day resort fee. Also note that the “tub” is not really suitable for any adult to use as a bathtub, as it is the length of a shower stall only. We did really enjoy our stay and liked the unit overall.

Maui Relaxation and great stay!!!

This condo was a great start to our relaxing Maui vacation and the Papakea resort/grounds were very scenic, clean and fun for all ages. The condo was clean, had a great view and had most amenities needed for a great stay. The owner was very responsive to emails/questions and seemed very organized throughout the rental process. We have two children who loved the two pools, hot tubs and playing putt-putt golf on the grounds. The pullout bed mattress was ok for them, however it is a bit uncomfortable for larger kids or adults. As other reviewers mention, the location is great as it has good beach access and plenty of great food/stores nearby (definitely recommend the "The Fish Market" fresh fish tacos/burritos and coconut shrimp!!!). Thanks for the great stay, for the price it is one of the better condos we have stayed at during our travels to Maui. Highly recommend for couples and families with young children. Our family would definitely stay at this condo again and hopefully will soon!

Amazing customer service

We arrived alittle early before check in and because we do have a one year old son we had milk and groceries and I was worried about it going bad. So I called the property manager and he picked up right away and let us in to put our groceries in the fridge even though our room wasn't ready yet. He really worked with us and understood and it totally made us feel comfortable and ready for our vacation. The room was great the view was great and the property was amazing definitely can't go wrong here.

This is a nice very well priced condo at a great property. If you’re expecting the Ritz Carlton at this price think again. This is a nice equipped, great view, comfortable and clean place to stay. The comments about cleanliness were unfounded for us. Unit was nice and clean when we arrived.

It will be very easy to take this ok unit to the next level! While the mattress is good, the plastic mattress cover is funky - noisy, hot and sweaty; the bed pillows are very old. The kitchen has very basic supplies.

Property nice and location and amenities great. Checked in an hour after allowed and brought all luggage to 3rd floor room. Cleaners had only just arrived. Stacked luggage on sofa and sat by pool in winter clothes for another hour. Don’t think the floor got mopped as needed to wear socks to keep feet from turning black. Clean towels hung in bathroom were damp. Placemats in kitchen drawer were all dirty.

Conveniently located property

This property was located conveniently to shopping and other resorts...and the elevator. The grounds are immaculately maintained with 2 pools and 2 hot tubs. Very nice garden and ocean views. The stackable washer/dryer are new and worked beautifully. Ice trays or cork screws were not provided. We tried to lubricate the sliding glass doors as they were hard to open; the kitchen cabinet lamination was peeling; could not find any dishcloths; were provided only 3 bath towels (used one of them for a bath mat) for 2 weeks; the pillows need replacing.

We would definitely stay here again.

The accommodation was exactly as shown. The unit had everything we needed and the property and amenities were well maintained. We used the pool and BBQs many times. The lanai was perfect for morning coffee and evening meals and the view was beautiful. We enjoyed watching the sunsets from the break-wall and took many long walks along the boardwalk which starts nearby. The property is close to several beautiful beaches and a lot of restaurants..

Awesome views from balcony. The place had extra beach equipment to use which helped a ton and we even left our beach mats behind for future use for others. Had a few concerns and reached out to property owner. He was very prompt to help me out. Had a great stay. Beds were very comfortable.

Papakea worth going to

We’ve stayed at Papakea several times over the past 20+ years. It’s a nice place, well kept and clean, close to a lot of amenities. This unit was nice, clean, convenient and has a great view of the pool, putting green, and the ocean. We would definitely stay there again!

A lovely getaway

The ambience is very relaxing with the sound of the water fountains outside. The condo is very comfortable and the AC unit comes in handy for a good nights sleep. I would recommend newer pillows. We were pleasantly surprised with snorkel gear, beach chairs, umbrellas and a small cooler. The kitchen is completely equipped with any cooking or baking needs. The owner was very easy to work with and quickly answered our questions.
