July 4th Weekend at Keuka Lake

This property was just as advertised with lovely views of Keuka Lake. My family loved playing in the lake, fishing off the dock and touring the lake with the kayak. We really enjoyed our trip to the Finger Lakes, and the house is in the perfect location, easy to get to Watkins Glen State Park.

Amazing week

We had a great week at Ardmore Glenn - the home was spotless and exactly as pictured. We took full advantage of the board games pool table can jam and enjoyed the amazing views of Keuka sitting on the decks every day. Several of us had to work and the internet was very fast. Great location - close to many restaurants- we had delivery too. Lakeside we enjoyed the kayak and lounging on the beach and water. Highly recommend!

Keuka Vacation

We enjoyed our stay at the lake house. It was roomy enough to accommodate six adults and two teens comfortably. The boys enjoyed the game room with a pool table, a projection TV and an assortment of games. The view of the lake from the deck was beautiful. Even though there was a little walk to the lake, we enjoyed the water every day. We brought paddle boards and the host provided a paddle board and a kayak and, with the host’s permission, we were able to dock a boat! We were able to enjoy many hours on beautiful Keuka, our favorite lake!

I wish I had seen the prior review regarding it not being a lakefront property despite being described as such...seemed deceptive. The lake, although close by is not next to the house and you have to cross a high speed road to get there. The house is lovely, kitchen well equipped, beds comfortable but the house sits above that noisy road. The lake is beautiful and the kayaks and water floats provided were fun. The lower level game room is not accessible from the house. You have to go outside to get in there. The AC was great but there was no vent in the first level bedroom so it was warm in there. The wellwater from the spigots was black with sediment, so taking a shower in that was not what I had in mind for my getaway. Tom did offer a generous credit for the water inconvenience. The surveillance camera placed in the corner of the living room was off putting. Wine tasting at the winery behind the house was fun but drove since the "path" is overgrown. My family enjoyed the lake, Watkins Glen state park, the Corning glass museum, the jet ski rentals and the propane fire pit.

Really enjoyed the property but because of problems with the well water it put a damper on the stay. My wife unfortunately had gastric problems and we had to head home in middle of second week. Other couple was able to stay. We were able to visit many wineries and had some very good meals out. Don’t know whether owner changed the filter on water system as he promised. Although the early heavy rainfall impacted the situation, we were under the impression water was safe but had to go to bottled water for remainder of stay. Overall a really nice home with beautiful views, etc.

Beautiful home in a beautiful setting

The pictures do not truly show how beautiful this house is. The view over the lake is breathtaking. We thoroughly enjoyed the views along with the lovely fireplace each morning with our coffee. The house was spotless and comfortable. We would book again if visiting this area.

The stunning views of Keuka Lake make you not want to leave the home! There are so many things within an hour drive (most within 30 minutes) you can enjoy the finger lakes region by day, and still not miss the beautiful sunset on Keuka while sitting on one of the decks of the house sipping on your preferred beverage! Then you can go make smores over the fire pit on the back deck! The canoes and kayaks were a real bonus, allowing us to get out on the water. I wish we had more time to utilize all the amenities that the property offered... maybe next time.

Why they chose this property

We chose this property because it was newly constructed and sitting atop a huge, almost 4 acre lot. The property is flanked on each side by two gorgeous glenn's that have waterfalls flowing each Spring. The 171 foot private shale beach was just the icing on the cake- located a short walk over NY-54. The modern kitchen with new appliances, granite, and large dining room table just made Ardmore Glenn everything you could ever want in a vacation home for your family.

What makes this property unique

Keuka Lake is centrally located and the most family friendly lake. It's in our humble opinion the most beautiful finger lake and the views from our home will just emphasize this. Five awesome vineyards are withing five minutes of the home.
