+++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++ THE SPACE
We call our River Trail Retreat "the Cascade" in honor of both the Cascade Mountain Range to the west of beautiful Bend, and the cascading beer that flows from nearly 30 breweries in Central Oregon.
This lovely, clean, warm, and inviting space features BRAND NEW carpet, trim/molding and FRESH paint, as well as new flooring, modern colors, a primary bedroom with a private full bathroom, a second full bathroom with a tub, luxurious king-sized beds in both bedrooms, and a double-size daybed in the living/dining room for extra guests. Both bedrooms have closets and dressers.
The bright living and dining room also holds a dining table and chairs, as well as additional seating. The kitchenette features cabinets, countertops, a 7 cubic foot refrigerator (with freezer), sink, microwave, coffee pot, toaster oven, tea kettle, and electric burner. Please be aware there is NOT A DISHWASHER and there is NOT A STOVE in this unit. We have a large propane BBQ - with a gas burner attached - on the covered front porch, which can be used for cooking. You are also welcome to use a camp stove outside, and we are happy to loan you one upon your request. (No use of the camp stove is permitted inside the house.) Plates, cups, utensils, dish soap, sponge, dishtowels, paper towels, napkins, salt, and pepper etc. are provided. Please bring your own coffee, foods, oils, and spices.
We provide free WiFi for your use with your laptops and mobile devices. There is NO TELEVISION in the Cascade.
We now have CENTRAL AIR CONDITIONING :)
Clean bedding, sheets, towels, blankets, towels, hand towels, washcloths, and dishtowels are provided, as well as TP! We provide Costco-sized shampoo, conditioner, and bodywash, as well as a hairdryer, and travel sized shampoo, conditioner, and body wash can be found beneath the sink in the sink in the main bathroom. Please bring your own toiletries.
Please note that the living room of the Cascade shares a wall with our living room in our home. That wall is not completely soundproof. We may be able to hear each other when we are here at the same time. And, cooking smells may also pass through. If you do not tolerate any sound or cooking smells through the shared wall, this space may not meet your needs.
We are extremely equality- and diversity-oriented and welcome ALL guests! This is a safe and inviting space and we are thrilled to entertain every visitor! This space is perfect for singles, couples, families, and any combination thereof! And, we allow pets (with prior approval and a pet fee TBD in conversation with host)! Sorry no cats.
Please note: Cannabis is legal in Oregon. Our Bend neighborhood has many people growing cannabis in their homes and, in the autumn, the smell of fresh cannabis is often present. In the autumn, this smell can be pulled into our HVAC intake from other units and may be noticeable in the Cascade. Please note: we do not allow smoking of any kind inside or near the Cascade. No smoking is permitted within 10 feet of any part of the building.

Host (Diana) did a great job of providing all necessary information and need-to-know details ahead of time.Great location (quiet) close to parks, off-leash dog park, restaurants and the college.Comfortable accommodations.
It was as others have described: easy parking outside of rental, easy access, short walk to downtown along the river, safe, quiet, nice space and exceptionally clean. Very comfortable beds and as the owner described one bed was softer and the other was firmer. We preferred the firmer bed. Loved the notebook with restaurant and cafe suggestions. Since we were there to visit OSU Cascade Campus we couldn't do the hikes and other outdoor activities, although we did sneak in a cross country ski at the Nordic Center in Mt. Bachelor. Beautiful day and perfect snow, which was amazing considering how bad this year's snowpack is. Great place all around?
The unit was located in the perfect spot. It was easy to enter, there were treats and comfortable beds.Located walking distance to downtown....perfect for things to do
Everything about the property was great. We enjoyed our stay and were able to walk to a great restaurant for dinner and along the river the next morning.
Quiet neighborhood and easy access to downtown by car or foot. Well stocked kitchen, we didn’t use much and the lack of stove was not a problem. Hosts kept in touch well.
Very clean and cozy. Comfortable beds, everything you need to enjoy the area. Very close to many attractions and eateries. Andy and Diana even put together a great list of things to do. We would definitely stay again!
We had such a great experience at Diana’s property. The place was clean and had thoughtful touches all over. Check in was super easy and the location and proximity to downtown and the river is great! We’d definitely stay again!
