Great spot in the heart of town
Everything was wonderful. They set us up with a few tours including local villages, waterfalls and Mayan ruins. Javier was a wonderful tour guide. His local knowledge of history and culture made the trip an incredible learning experience. The host team has an office across the street so they were always there to help whenever we needed anything.

Ampliamente recomendada! Gracias esperamos volver pronto!!

The perfect house for our group of 7
This is a lovely property, hacienda style, with a central open courtyard partly shaded with a lime tree, surrounded by 5 bedrooms, a kitchen and TV room. Hugo, the owner, was a wonderful host. He was extremely accommodating and easy to communicate with. At 7,000 feet up in the mountains the evenings were chilly (even in July!) so we enjoyed a small fire in the fire grate provided each evening. Plus others in our group, being from La Paz, Mexico, made fires in their rooms each night (each room has a fire place). Even though this was NOT the cold season Hugo responded to our need for more fire wood immediately. Great location, quiet (except for note below) and within walking distance to town plaza/Zocalo. Great place to stay while visiting San Cristobal de las Casas! Note there are loud fireworks during summer season that are almost constant day and night that sound like gun shots.

Wonderful! We felt like queens!
Far enough away to be on a quiet street but still fairly close to shops, markets and restaurants. Our hosts helped us arrange transport, a tour to ruins and even to translate! We had a great time! The maids were super sweet and it was stellar to have clean sheets and huge luxurious towels ! Thank you for everything! We are looking forward to seeing g the expansion !

Host profile image
Hello! we are Claudia and Hugo a young and adventurous couple, originally from Guadalajara and the City of Mexico. Our history began some years ago when we began to travel around the Yucatan Peninsula and Quintana Roo as friends. There we fell in love and decided to get to know every corner of Mexico before traveling abroad.

We first visited San Cristobal de las Casas in 2014 and the city stayed in our hearts; its magic and mysticism, gastronomy, culture and history but above it all its people was what made is fall in love with the place. We knew it was where we wanted to live for the rest of our lives.

We worked for many years in luxury hospitality; passionate about service we decided to start this wonderful project in April 2016 , since from the first time we visited San Cristobal de las Casas we fell in love with the city and we promise to return and stay for good. A dream that we have fulfilled and we want to share with you.

Our purpose as your hosts is not only to receive you in our house, we want to be part of your journey thru Chiapas; offering you a different, unique and personalized experience according to your needs and budget.

We like to share the time with our guests, as well as recommend the best places to go out to buy, eat, drink coffee, wine or beer. We know the state and tourist attractions well so it is easy for us to help plan your itinerary, giving you the best advice on accommodation, tours and transfers.

We hope to see you soon and to be part of your experience thru this wonderful state!

Why they chose this property

Our home is located in one of the oldest neighborhoods of San Cristóbal, “el Barrio de la Merced”. Our festivities in September are one of the most original and colorful of the area.

In our neighborhood, you will find “coleto” Bakeries, the famous Cantina Oaxaqueña founded in 1953, Sergio Castro’s Museum, fruit and vegetable stores, small family convenient stores and a great variety of restaurants and cafes.

You will live an unforgettable experience in San Cristóbal de las Casas, with its wonderful landscapes, fresh air with the smell of pine, its cobblestone streets, tile roofs and its indigenous culture mix. Combination that will make you feel in an ancient Mexico and part of what makes San Cristobal one of the most beautiful locations in southeast of the country.

What makes this property unique

We are more than happy to help you before, during and after your reservation.

Part of what makes your stay with us so unique is our hospitality, we want you to fall in love with Chiapas and have an unforgettable experience. We have extensive knowledge of the area and will give you the best tips on what to do, where to go, where to eat and where to shop.
