About this property

We have a great place for fishermen and hunters to stay (of course families are welcome). This guest house was built in 2017 that will easily accommodate up to four or 5 people. It has a full-size bed with a twin bunk above, a twin bed, and a twin roll-a-way bed We also have an air mattress but I am not so sure how comfortable that would be. We have wifi. We have a fish cleaning station and plenty of room for your boat with the ability to charge batteries. There is an outdoor gas grill and Blackstone available. A refrigerator, microwave, toaster oven, toaster, electric skillet, and coffee pot are available as well. We now have a bonus room available for your use that includes a stove, another large TV, and a half bath. The bed linens are provided along with bath towels and dish towels. There is a fire pit (you will need to provide the wood) and plenty of chairs for your outdoor enjoyment. Our location is near several restaurants and gas stations. Please feel free to ask any questions.

We are five miles from Rend Lake and the boat ramps. Rend Lake is the largest man-made lake in Southern Illinois. Rend Lake brings in a lot of tourists for fishing, boating, swimming, skiing, and hiking fun. We are about fifteen to twenty miles from local wineries, golf courses, trap shooting, and shopping. Rend Lake attracts a vast number of hunters for ducks and geese. Scheller's Hidden Getaway is located in Jefferson County at 4355 East Freeman Road, Scheller, IL 62883. This area in Jefferson County appeals to deer, turkey, squirrel, and quail hunters along with duck and geese hunters. Scheller Playhouse, a restaurant/lounge, is located one mile from the guest house. Scheller Playhouse has a wide variety on its menu at competitive prices. They occasionally have entrainment available. We are also just five minutes from a local café that serves breakfast and lunch. The guest house is also just eight miles from Sesser, IL. There are a few choices of restaurants (The Mill, Custard Stand, and The Anchor), bars, gas stations, and grocery(Dollar General and Sesser Foodland) stores in Sesser. You can buy bait at Luke's in Sesser.
