For your comfort--capacity is limited to 6 adults and a total of 8 people.

Enjoy the Penthouse with the added bedroom and space of a three bedroom, two bath condo at beautiful La Isla for the same price as a two bedroom. It's an extra 286 square feet or 25% larger. Great if there are kids. With 15 feet ceilings in the dining and living areas you will feel the enormous space. The location within La Isla is ideal being a top floor end unit, thus no noise from neighbors while you are sleeping. The beach is an 8 minute walk away. Yes, there is an elevator. The balcony is 112 square 23% larger than two bedroom units. The views from the balcony are awesome, with the gulf to your left, the bay to your right and the ship channel straight ahead (see who can spot the largest ship going to the Port of Brownsville.) With SpaceX launches the balcony is the best location on the Island. You can see the SpaceX TEST ROCKET on the pad. You can see, hear and feel the launches and landings. From the master bedroom you have a great view of the pools to check activities there. La Isla is next door to the waterpark and the best restaurants on the preferred south end of the Island.

The living room furniture is kept new to compliment the beautiful original art by local artists throughout the condo. The paint is fresh with semi-annual touchups. There is a powered shade for the full size glass door to the balcony. The owners maintain a home warranty policy to protect the appliances and the air conditioner condenser was replaced in 2017 as well. We do not keep the thermostat locked while other condos force you to accept the temperature they want. Just ask you turn up per the check out instructions. The kitchen is frankly over equipped giving you the ability to prepare any meals you might desire. It is ideal for entertaining as the dining table seats eight and the bar seats three.

The master bedroom has a King bed, the middle bedroom has a double bed plus twin bunks and the back bedroom has a Queen bed. This configuration ideal if a second couple is joining you. There is a washer/dryer, a huge benefit for towels and beachwear. Included: iron and board (ha!), extra towels, TV's, DVRs, and we try to keep the back bedroom closet stocked with beach and water toys for the kids.

La Isla is a gated community with onsite security as well as onsite managers office. La Isla was first occupied in 2009 making it one of the newest complexes on the Island. There is small gym on site and the beach is a quick walk away. Traffic on the Island can be slow during holidays and the fact La Isla is one quarter mile south of the causeway saves 15+ minutes compared to the north end of South Padre. Makes a lot of difference when the kids are asking "Are we there yet." Plus from the master bedroom you can see the Island end of the causeway to assess traffic.

One large pool is heated to a nice 78-80 degrees.

The owners acquired the property in 2016, did lots of upgrades and used it exclusively for themselves until purchasing a home ten miles away. Our response time if needed, will be very quick.

Great Condo! Excellent location!
We had a great time as a family staying at this location. David is a great host! Condo was spacious and clean. Beds were very comfortable! Great area to be in for all ages. Water park is right next door and the beach is near by. The swimming pool and hot tub was nice to use after a long day out with the kids.

Thoroughly impressed with this location, the condo itself, and the owner. Anything that could have been forgotten was available on arrival. Mr. David left plenty of information for us to navigate while on the island. First time renter, and definitely worth the experience.

Wonderful Family Get-Away
Our family has spent many summer vacations on South Padre Island. We all agreed that this was our favorite condo! First of all, the condo was super spacious and we had plenty of space for all of us (6 adults, toddler and a baby). We were impressed that there we so many small details that often go overlooked. The kitchen was well supplied, the owner even sent us a list of everything supplied in kitchen including spices! The location on the south end of the island was quite a bit quieter than the north end of the island. We also really enjoyed the pool. We will definitely be back!

We bought at La Isla to have a place to avoid Colorado winters preferring sand over snow! For two plus years our condo was for our personal use and occasionally for friends and family. You will see many personal touches as we significantly redecorated to our tastes. We hope you like the original art by local artists.
In short, we like this area so much that we purchased a home in Laguna Vista, all of 10 miles away to be our permanent residence.

Why they chose this property

I've traveled to the Valley and the Island since mid 1970's and was a early traveler across the new Causeway. When we decided to purchase, our goal was a quality property, built since the last big hurricane. We were not interested in being on the water but wanted to be within walking distance to the beach. We felt the three bedrooms provide a distinct value and we are passing that value to you. Our research indicated and our ownership confirmed the property is well maintained and the grounds are beautiful.

What makes this property unique

We believe our unit is the best location on the property. Top floor allowing for 10 and 15 feet ceilings, end unit means a lot of volume for the money. All bedrooms are to the outside wall and we just don't experience any disturbing noise. When there is music at the pool we delight that people are enjoying themselves.
