About this property

Maine Cottage on a Beautiful Sandy Beach, Indian Point, Georgetown

The cottage is located on Indian Point, a small private community within a 400 acre land preserve of woods, beaches, bays , tidal sand flats, majestic rock promontories and spectacular views. Guests enjoy access to several sandy beaches and miles of nature trails.
The cottage is set off the main road and offers plenty of privacy. Steps from the cottage is a beautiful sandy beach on a inlet perfect for swimming, kayaking, paddle boarding or fishing off the near by rocks. From the cottage and beach, you’ll see amazing views of the the Atlantic and classic Maine views of pine tree covered Islands, majestic light houses and rocky coves littered with colorful lobster buoys.

Other Georgetown attractions include ,Georgetown Pottery and several artists' galleries. A little farther down the road, twenty minutes away is the historic town of Bath with its many wonderful shops and restaurants as well as the Maine Maritime Museum. Just a half hour drive away is the town of Brunswick with many shops and galleries as well as Bowdoin College with it’s museum, theatre and other activities. For more sightseeing and activites, Portland and Boothbay Harbor are both only an hour drive away.

There is no better place for vacation.... anytime from April through November!

The most beautiful location!
Pictures don’t do the location justice! The owners were so helpful and responsive, and the house had everything we could possibly need. It was clean and well-maintained. We ate almost every meal on the picnic table in the yard, and then popped on down to the beach to play. Norah and Cliff provided all of the info we could ever need to find the perfect trails to hike and places to visit. We felt blessed to have gotten this experience!

A little bit of heaven on earth
This was our (my mom and I) first trip to Maine and will def not be the last. Norah and Cliff were wonderful hosts. The home is incredibly comfortable, cozy, warm and inviting. The location is beyond words! We were looking for a quiet spot near water where we could sit outside, chill, read, play games and drink wine :-) - this home was all of that and more. We took some day trips that were really easy and convenient to take from the house - to Bath, Boothbay, and the Maine Botanical Gardens. Will def be booking this home again in the future! Thank you Norah and Cliff!!

Hello from Cliff and Norah.
We are so fortunate to have been able to rent our cottage to so many wonderful people, most of whom have been returning every year and are more like family to us than just renters. We have a house up the hill from the cottage where we spend most of the summer so we are able to meet the renters and make sure they have everything they need.
Our cottage has been in Cliff's family for many years. His parents built it in 1957 as a summer cottage and then renovated it and made it a four season home in 1972 when Cliff graduated from Bowdoin and his parents retired and moved to Indian Point year round. Cliff and his sister inherited the cottage in 2006, at which time his sister sold her share of the cottage to us and we began renting it out.
Call, email or text us and we'd be happy to tell you all about the cottage and area we love so much!

Why they chose this property

All of the cottage on Indian point have gorgeous views but only a few have gorgeous views AND are right on a the sandy beach.
