Toller Blick auf New York's Skyline

Wir haben uns entschlossen mit unserer Familie (2 Erwachsene, 2 Kinder) diesmal nicht in New York zu wohnen sondern auf Rockaway Beach. Die Wohnung liegt an einer verkehrsruhigen Bucht mit wundervollem, freiem Blick auf die Skyline von Manhattan. Die Wohnung ist sehr schön und modern eingerichtet. Es ist alles sehr sauber und neu. Wir haben uns sehr wohl gefühlt. Es ist alles vorhanden, was man für den Alltag braucht. Ein Highlight für Sport und Filmfans - es sind sämtliche TV-Sender vorhanden, so kann man auch bei schlechtem Wetter den Tag gemütlich in der Wohnung verbringen. Die Vermieter sind sehr nett und hilfsbereit. Das Auto kann auch direkt vor der dem Haus geparkt werden. Einkaufsmöglichkeiten sind in der näheren Umgebung vorhanden. Ebenso der schöne Strand von Rockaway Beach ist in wenigen Autominuten erreichbar. Der einzige kleine Kritikpunkt: Die Flugzeuge vom nahegelegenen JFK Airport sind gut zu hören, allerdings gewöhnt man sich daran ;-). Freunde (und Meinungen im Internet) hatten uns abgeraten, mit dem Auto nach Manhattan zu fahren, darum haben wir zuerst die naheglegene Subway benutzt (ca 1 Std Fahrt). Jedoch ist zur Rush Hour im Zug sehr viel los, weshalb wir am Folgetag dann doch mit dem Auto gefahren sind. Dies stellte dann doch überhaupt kein Problem dar. Es ist auch nicht anders wie der normale Verkehr wie in europäischen Grosstädten. Alles in allem war es ein toller Aufenthalt und wir können es sehr empfehlen! Herzlichen Dank!
