Enjoy your vacation in this 3 Bedroom Gulf View unit in Tower 1 at Portofino Resort. This unit has a full kitchen furnish with all appliances and dishware. The master bedroom has a king bed, jacuzzi tub, walk in closet and walkout balcony. The second bedroom includes a queen bed, full size bed and full bathroom with views of both the Gulf and Santa Rosa sound. The 3rd bedroom has a queen bed and beautiful view of the Santa Rosa Sound. The unit includes a large wrap around balcony with sunset views over both the Gulf and Santa Rosa sound. Family room also includes a pull out sofa. There is a washer and dryer in the unit.

Four day stay

We enjoyed our stay at this location. Everything was clean and as described. We noticed in one of the bedrooms the ceiling fan came off a bracket. I notified the host right away who then advised me to contact maintenance. She also contacted maintenance as well . It took maintenance a few hours to get to the room but they only had one person on staff that day. Which was fine. They were quick to get to it and fixed it and there was no issues after that. There is slight mold above the sliding door. This is to be expected as moisture from the air will come in and out from the outside at those doors. I wouldn't say it was an issue. A wipe down would take care of it. We really enjoyed the dog puzzle that was in the cabinet. The whole family tried to finish it before we left but could not get it done. We enjoyed our stay and would stay in this unit again. We always enjoy staying at the portofino property.

Major disappointment

We reserved a condo for a weekend. When we arrived, checking in was very easy. That was the last good thing. The condo was sadly in need of repair. The living room curtain lining was torn and hanging down; when I pulled it out to check on it, I saw that it was covered in black mold. The curtain pull (pulley) in the master bedroom was dangling where it had pulled out of the wall. The back of one couch was loose with exposed staples. Blinds were broken and dangling in another bedroom. The shower curtain rod and curtain were on the floor in the second bath. And the walls had many black scuff marks in multiple places; that’s just cosmetic, but indicates a lack of care. We checked out a day early, as I did not want us all to be exposed to the mold in the main living area. I contacted the property manager, who was going to send someone to take down the curtain, but said that I had to contact the owners about a refund. I emailed them twice (with pictures) but got no response. I finally contacted VRBO, who contacted the owners. They refused to give any refund. I normally do not leave negative reviews, but there were so many things wrong here. At least the outside of the property was nice, as were the pool and gym.

Wonderful

Beautiful property, beautiful condo. We had six people in the condo and there was plenty of room. The only issue we had was that the ice maker did not work for the entire trip. We called maintenance a couple of times but they didn't come. An employee in the on site store gave us free bags of ice every day so we would have some. We would definitely stay again!!

Love Portofino! One of my favorite vacation spots!

I stay at Portofino multiple weeks each year. I have to say I was disappointed with the condition of this unit. The ice maker did not work, the dishwasher ran but did not get the dishes clean. The matresses were either very old or very cheap, the bedding was very sparse. The carpet is stained and feels dirty. Several closets have decor stored in them that should be removed from the unit allowing the guest full use of the closets. The bed side table in guest bedroom, next to dining table has exposed nails that I was scratched by when opening a drawer. The tub stopper in this bath does not operate properly. The beach chairs were completely shot and should be thrown away. There was no dining table on balcony, and the front door is so damaged you have to slam it to get it to close completely. I have to atmit inspite of these inconveniences we had a great week. I did not call maintenance and or the owner to address these issues or to complain. We just didnt want to have to deal with it. I would never expect a refund or even consider asking for one. I would just hope that the owner addresses these issues so that the next vacationer does not experience these disappointments.
