Hey Keith, really enjoyed having you guys as guests. I hope you’ll check into Jacaranda the next time you come to Boston.
Note to other property owners.
These are just the kind of folks we want to have as guests, people that treat your property like it was their own.
1st time to Boston. Our son ran the 2025 Boston Marathon.
It is a nice home. Enough room for the 5 of us to spread out.Daniel was very prompt to answer any questions we had. Very comfortable home.

Gerry it was great to have you as guests. I have had four parties stay at Jacaranda for the Boston Marathon. I usually try to get to the finish line, but I did not do so this year. What a mistake your son is the first runner who stayed here to be among the first 100 finishers. This is truly outstanding.
We hoped you make a booking early for the next Boston Marathon,
Thank you for being great guests.
All the best, Daniel.
This place was in a perfect location for everything I needed to do in both Rhode Island and the Boston area, whether that was traveling to see family, hiking, kayaking or staying in and working.
Daniel's home is the quintessential New England home and I always love coming back to homes that have history. We had a great stay and had family over for lunch with plenty of room to hang out. The two bedrooms are large and roomy with a smaller room with two twin beds. There is window air conditioning but we only used it in one bedroom. Daniel was also great host and gave great neighborhood info and gave a lot of grace when we misunderstood one of the house rules.
Large home, only a few miles in each direction for food / fuel.Trillium Brewery is about 2.5 miles away.Only used home for sleeping, spent all time with others in Boston area.Would stay again. However, no easy way inif you are disabled. Had to help Dad up/down front steps
Nice and comfortable home in which to stay. Love the washer and dryer. We enjoyed the nice weather and having the windows open during our stay. House is convenient to everything we needed to do in the area.
This house is in the perfect location for all the places we planned to visit. Dan-the owner-is incredibly friendly. Upon our arrival he gave us a tour of the well-stocked house. The driveway is a bit narrow but, not a problem. We enjoyed our stay!

It was a pleasure to have this charming couple as guests. They will always be welcome at Jacaranda..
Peaceful setting in a quiet Boston suburban neighborhood. Close to T station in Milton for the trolley connecting to the Boston area, week long pass was great choice.

It was my pleasure to have you as our guest. You left the place in spotless condition and we appreciate that. All the best, Daniel
Very comfortable home away from home. Short drive to restaurants, groceries, hiking trails, or anything you need. Airport, downtown Boston easy drive away. Daniel helpful when needed but not bothersome.
My family of 5 stayed here for 5 nights. The house and furnishings are older. Everything was clean and ready for us to move in. The location to Boston and surrounding areas was great. The owner, Daniel, is a very nice man. He lives in an apartment in the basement and does not interfere with your stay.
Daniel was extremely nice and as there were any issues he was available and did try to help in all circumstances. We weren't really aware that the host was on property but it is under the amenities at the very bottom. There are some repairs that are needed host is on top of things and was appreciative of us letting him know when things happened. He is super nice and willing to try to help make you stay as comfortable as possible

Liked: Location
Disliked: Cleanliness, check-in, communication
This stay was extremely disappointing from start to finish. Check-in was 4:00 PM, yet we never received instructions. Messages to the host went unanswered for hours, forcing us to hunt to find a phone number. Only then were we given the loc code, finally arriving around 8:00 PM. The exterior was dark and unsafe to navigate, with the host’s vehicle blocking the narrow driveway and parking area. We ultimately began parking on the street. We later discovered the host lives in the basement. The listing said on the premises, I assumed this meant another building on the property. Upon arrival we found multiple things broken: master bedroom ceiling fan and all of the TVs. The property was shockingly dirty. Carpets and bedding were visibly soiled and overall cleanliness was unacceptable. Photos available to support this. I messaged repeatedly about the TV because we planned to use it. The host was unresponsive, later calling hours afterward with troubleshooting steps that didn’t work. Even after following them exactly, the TV never functioned and further messages were ignored. The next morning I discovered the dishwasher was broken. We returned to the home to find it filled with a string marijuana odor. The host said he had guests that “may have smoked something.” We don’t smoke and the smell was overwhelmingly and intrusive. I would not recommend this property due to poor communication, lack of cleanliness, broken amenities, and undisclosed basement occupancy.
We had such a great time at the Jacaranda house. If you need a large space but still want that cozy atmosphere, this is just the place to stay. Jacaranda is close to public transportation, which is crucial as we discovered that driving a car to Boston is inconvenient. I am glad we stayed here instead of a hotel as there were more amenities and it was much more practical. Also, having the owner in his unit was a godsend. He is very friendly and respectful of everyone’s privacy. We ended up having to knock on his door on two occasions, once when we accidentally locked ourselves out. He truly saved the day.
During our recent stay at the old colonial house, we had a pleasant experience overall. The house was clean and provided a comfortable atmosphere for our stay. However, it's important to note that being an older property, there were some expected creaks and squeaks throughout the house. And the decor is on the older side as well, but This added to the charm of the place.
Staying at the house felt like being welcomed into a family's home. The warm and inviting ambiance created a cozy environment, making us feel right at ease. Despite a minor hiccup with the check-in instructions, which Daniel initially missed sending, we managed to reach him on the day of arrival. We found that communication via phone calls was the most effective way to get in touch with him.
Once we connected with Daniel, he proved to be very nice and welcoming. His hospitality and friendly demeanor helped us settle in quickly.
Overall, our time at the old colonial house was enjoyable. It provided a clean and comfortable space, albeit with some expected quirks due to its age. If you appreciate a homely atmosphere and don't mind a few charming noises, this place is worth considering. Just be sure to establish clear communication with Daniel, preferably through phone calls, to ensure a smooth and hassle-free experience.
Parking is definately an issue. Small driveway with minimal space. Owner was there I believe living in the basement all week. My understanding is VRBO advertises that owners are not onsite . He was there all week and responded to concerns....but also questioned our use of the AC units. I asked ahead of time about the house having AC and I was informed it did. The problem was it was not central air but rather window AC units. This created a problem for the rooms that did not have AC in them. Only a fan was available and temps were pretty high the week we stayed We were also told that AC units should be turned off during the day. This is a 2story older home with Sun facing the whole house all day. It got hot and humid quick so we just left them on. We were told electrical and water bills add up. I just think that cost are not my issue as it's part of the rental pricebut the owner actually has it listed in his welcome booklet. There were minor details of the house that could of been "fixed" cracked tiles, unfinished ceiling and window screens/covers missing. The outside of the property was quite unkept which was unfortunate. The bathrooms and bedrooms were clean and neat.
Overall it was ok and if a few of these issues were addressed I would stay again.
This is a great property for individuals and groups to have access to many amenities including a stocked kitchen, parking, and convenient location for driving
This place was perfect. We had plenty of space, with a large kitchen and comfortable living room. The bedrooms were awesome, with skylights, air conditioning and lots of space. Considering the cost, this was an amazing value. I would reccomend to anyone.
If you enjoyed the experience half as much as I did, that means I enjoyed it twice as much as you did. Stanley, It was great meeting you and your family. Please come again.
Daniel.
We needed a comfortable place close to family for a week’s visit and Dan’s property was that and so much more. A well-maintained and comfortable house in which we instantly felt at home. Dan was a great landlord, attentive to our needs and a genuinely nice guy, making our stay all the more memorable. Thank you!
Second time staying with Dan during home improvements. Has everything we need - multiple desks so my wife and I could work from “home”, full kitchen, and lots of space. Would stay here again without hesitation.
Only complaint was the snow and ice made getting in & out difficult.
