Located in the beautiful Hudson Valley offering hiking in the Harriman State Park, Bear Mtn, Muscoot farm (great for little kids), horseback riding as well as local incredible spots; Croton Gorge Dam, Croton Point Park, Croton Landing, Tea Town Lake Reservation, Jane Arboretum and a fantastic Swimming Hole/beach all within minutes. Experience farm-to-table dining in The Hudson Valley. And, in a 46min ride along the Hudson River, you can be enjoying the endless supply of cultural events museums and restaurants to explore in NYC. Easy access to the house from the main road (9A) and only 6 min to Metro North Train. Tired? Alternate with a rest when you come back to your "country getaway". The house offers one very large Master with king size bed. Two smaller rooms each with a twin bed. The sofa in the living room has often accommodated two guests (really good friends) or one adult comfortably. The kitchen is a state of the art with gas stove and contains all the cutlery and condiments you might need. (Grocery store is a 5 min drive). The property is near a main road however, any sound inside the house is snuffed by a beautiful enclosed glass porch. Parking for 4-5 cars with ease (and up to 7 cars with a little diagonal planning in front). A bit of history comes with this house - the tale of the Devil's Footprint and so far no one has been able to find it. Contact us for information and clues about where it might be. As well, If you have kids that you'd like to put in camp - so you can laze around and have long brunches - there are many options which I am happy to recommend (Hudson Sailing School, Sprout day camp, Croton Theatre Arts Camp, etc.).
