Sitting On The Sound is a 1BR/1BA cozy home on the bay and has a new owner with all new upgrades from new living room and deck furniture to painting. This property includes a hand-launch ramp for kayaks—trailers cannot be backed in for launching. This home has a fully stocked kitchen, charcoal BBQ grill, standard coffee pot, cable tv & wifi. This home will sleep 4 maximum with a king size bed in the bedroom and a sleeper sofa in the living room.

Peaceful relaxing weekend

Home was cozy, clean and equipped with everything you need. Nicely decorated and comfy. We had a peaceful relaxing stay. Even though there were a lot of overcast days we managed to see the beautiful sunset from the deck. Met the owner he was very nice. Recommend this home if you want a quiet retreat.

Wonderful Vacation... As Always!

This is only it second stay at this location, but it feels like home! We just love this small, one bedroom house in the water. Always spotless and had everything we need! The back deck is our favorite spot, where we can bird watch and watch the fish activity. The owner has now built a pier a couple of lots down that we can share. Great for fishing of just sitting and watching. We'll definitely be back. Maybe in the winter this time

The location was great for what I needed & wanted. I arrived at night so some motion sensor lighting would be helpful by the steps. Otherwise, it was perfect & very peaceful.

A Private Escape that's Close to Everything

With a beautiful view overlooking the St. George sound, that changes throughout the day with the rise and fall of the tides, it is in a quiet location off a main road and the town of Carabelle is within walking distance with a few restaurants and a lovely local museum - lots of heart and very warm volunteers working there. A short ride away you can get to the state parks, accessible dog friendly beaches, or the town of Apalachicola which was bustling with tourists when we went. (If you like BBQ try FatDaddy's along the way and chat with the owners...) The unit was terrific in terms of space and everything provided that we needed in the kitchen. As with most newer shoreline residences there, two flights of exterior stairs. OK unless you have a dog who is afraid of stairs... :-D we all did fine, he grew to love the attention. Unlike other units we looked at which were wedged in to rows of other houses, at this location we had only one other home nearby with really lovely, welcoming neighbors.

This is just the perfect vacation house for two and in the most beautiful and quiet location. Very clean, sunrises and sunsets amazing! Check in was a breeze, host was readily responsive to questions. Will stay again

Came for the weekend to go to the blue crab festival and St. George island. And also eat some of the best oysters ever at the Station in Apalachicola

Beautiful, serene getaway

We loved our stay and this adorable house. We had such a wonderful and relaxing time and the house was the perfect size. It had everything we needed and it was in the best spot on the water to have morning coffee and an evening cocktail. We will definitely be back!

What a view!

We loved our stay! Had every thing we needed. Mornings, evenings and nights on the deck were the best. Night sky with the milky way. It was way to hot to sit out there during the day but there are chairs in the carport. Our favorite place to eat in the area is Morning Bite in town and Up The Creek in Apalachicola.

Sitting on the Sound

We loved our stay it was our 2nd visit. We loved sitting on deck having our morning coffee, beautiful view of the bay, watching all the birds and the nice sunsets. The inside is excellent they have everything you would need. We enjoyed grilling out almost every night, really nice grill. AC was excellent as it was quite hot during our visit. Our dog Bailey also enjoyed her 1st vacation which is pet friendly. Excellent parking, everything was great!!! We hated to leave!!! If your looking for a little slice of paradise this is it!!! Thanks Jim, Sunny and Bailey.

Great peaceful getaway

This was the best location being right on the water with no noise to make it peaceful. The house was so cute and everything I needed was there. The sunsets and sunrises were amazing!
