Long Wharf Resort! 2 BR unit by private owner, July 4-11, walk to downtown

This beautiful condo at Club Wyndham Long Wharf resort is nestled in the heart of downtown Newport, across the street from the wharf and one block to shops and restaurants. We are renting out our updated 2 Bedroom, 2 Bath timeshare condo. Includes a main bedroom with king bed and ensuite bath, and a second bedroom with 2 twins beds. The living area has a pullout couch and a small dining area and kitchen. Many of the units have a washer/dryer, and for those that don't there is coin laundry in the building. Because this is a timeshare rental, the exact unit is not known ahead of time. All units are updated but may have slightly different decor.

CONDO AMENITIES:

* Living area with pull-out sofa, TV/cable/DVD
* Fully equipped kitchen open to living and dining area (dining table seats 6)
* Master bedroom with king size bed, TV/DVD/cable, updated Master bath
* 2nd bedroom with 2 twin beds and TV/cable (2nd updated bath just outside bedroom door)

* Indoor/outdoor pool & jacuzzi (NOTE: Indoor pool is currently closed for maintenance. Outdoor pool is open and recently renovated)

Do not stay here. Took 10 minutes to get noticed in the lobby even though there were 3 free agents. We were not told the ac was not working in the hotel. Our first assigned room (on the 2nd floor) was not cleaned, and it took them almost an hour to assign a "temporary" room on the first-floor util the next day when they would have the staff to clean the 2nd floor room. We were not offered a parking pass even though one was included in our package. The owners of the unit had to intervene with hotel staff on our behave to have them issue us a pass. The AC units were poorly installed and didn't work well. After a terrible night sleep with AC units leaking and cutting out, we went to a tennis event. It was there that I received a call from hotel staff our 2nd floor room was cleaned and ready and that we had 20 minutes to move or forfeit the 2nd floor room. My husband raced over to handle the situation but it took 2 hours out of his vacation to deal with rude staff telling him we can't have portable ac units on the 2nd floor since there were none left. All of this nonsense could have been avoided if the staff had communicated clearly from the start. It was not a good experience as other VRBO rentals have been. We checked out instead of staying at this property so that we could enjoy the remainder of our vacation. I feel we should get a refund for fees we paid through VRBO for this debacle.
AC vent not installed properly,
Painters tape did not hold the frame in place. Outside hot air seeping through the hole.
2nd floor room not cleaned when we arrived. Unfortunately, even though we checked in at 4pm and cleaning was ordered for our unit the hotel did not communicate with the staff to have it ready for our 7/8 arrival.
Bathroom had not been cleaned. It took all of a minute to realize the room had not been cleaned and we went back to the lobby.
