Cozy stay in a adorable beach town
The rooms were beautifully decorated, very clean, and accommodating. Would stay there again!!

Fit the bill
Overall it was a good experience. The parking was nice and directions were clear. It’s close to lots of places to eat and walk to.
My only minor complaint was the lack of blinds/thicker curtains in the rooms. They both face the street and the walkway. Not a huge deal.

Perfect 1 day stay after Hearst Castle
My bestie and I drive Highway 1 to Hearst Castle from Santa Cruz and decided to stay near after our tours. This was the perfect place to stay. The house was easy to find, right near the downtown, parking lot was big, and the pathway to the private entrance was manicured and inviting. The rooms were as clean as the pictures and the bathroom was spacious. I loved how minimally decorated the space was with just enough details to harmonize the rooms. The beds were comfy, tv worked just fine, and the small fridge with the extra amenities was a nice touch. I will recommend this place to friends and family as it was so much better than hotel room. It was a splendid place to spend the evening after a long day of car rides and walking tours. Thanks sp much to the owners.
I did not get any emails or notification that this property was inadvertently rented by me with one click. the owners contacted me about it when I did not check in and I told them that I could not find the listing on VRBO website / my account or Homestay / my account. They gave me a phone number however the phone number was constantly busy and I could not get through. I asked the owners to give me the address and they would not. I would think that if someone rented the property and paid for it they could at least get the address from the owners. This is unacceptable and I will be asking for a refund for this place / my Visa as soon as possible. There was nothing on either website and no way I could contact anyone about this or even possibly stay at the place that I rented by mistake! This was an extremely bad experience .Stay away from renting VRBO and Homestay and these Property Owners because they will not give you the address if you rent their place! VRBO and stay are extremely inefficient and ineffective websites!
I truly have empathy for your situation Marjorie! I do believe your review is a reflection the industry and not of my property since you were unable to make your reservation (which you had stated before asking for the address To give it to someone who would not be legally responsible for the stay Or verified by VRBO).
I do hope that you were able to get resolve with VRBO. I directed you back to the site from which your reservation originated.
Due to the high amount of fraud with everything Web based I did not supply you with my address. Your desire to give your reservation to someone else was a red flag for me and I have to protect myself and the property as well. There are many steps to setting up an account and booking a reservation So for my protection I directed you back to this site where everything could be handled as it was are originally and also creating a trail so that if indeed someone had stolen your card or your account you too would be protected. I hope at this point you were able to get everything handled with them which is as it should be.
Protection's for both parties are one of the main reasons to use a search engine such as this versus trying to book with someone Independently.
If there were something that I could have done on my side I would have been happy to.
I apologize that we live in such a time that we can't take things at face value and we have to protect ourselves and our businesses.
