Amazing experience! Highly Recommend!
My husband and I had a wonderful 4 night stay aboard Capt. Leo’s vessel. I highly recommend staying here whether you are looking for a break from a boring hotel stay or exploring the possibility of owning your own boat. The vessel is in superb condition, meticulously clean & very tastefully decorated. The kitchen is equipped well enough to make breakfast & lunch. Florida weather varied widely during our stay with rain, wind and both cold and warm temperatures. We had no issues with the A/C and heat & stayed dry under the zippered canvas. We found the bed to be very comfortable with its thick memory foam topper. There were plenty of blankets to use on the chilly mornings and evenings when watching the sunrise and sunsets in the rear seating are of the boat. It was so relaxing just to watch the waterfowl and the daily comings and goings of others around the marina. We were even graced with a visit from a dolphin one morning when sipping our coffee. We did test the shower on board which works fine but the marina has bathhouse facilities that we found to be very clean with great water pressure and plenty of hot water. There is a DVD player on board with a small collection of movies or you can use a local Redbox like we did. The signal for the wifi is pretty weak. We were not able to connect the laptop, however we had no issues when using the 4G network from our phones. We arranged to have Captain Leo take us out for a day on the water and went south to the Ponce Inlet area and had many sightings of dolphins throughout the day. We are in the exploration stage of purchasing our own boat and he was so gracious as we battered him with questions and grateful for all the wisdom and advice he gave us. He is a gracious host and it was so delightful spending the day with him as he is such a kind, friendly and warm person to be around. After our day out on the water, we went to the lighthouse and climbed to the top. From there we were able to see all the paths we took from the day before on the boat. Some local recommendations: Tour the Daytona Speedway. No event going on the day of our tour and we were able to get onto the track, into the pits and up in the stadium. If you are a tennis player, check out the Florida Tennis Center. They have several round robins throughout the week and welcome visitors. Restaurants: Walk down S. Beach St. to Zappi’s Italian Garden. The best Italian Wedding Soup I’ve ever had and it’s reasonably priced.
Weather was a bit chilly....but the Yacht was fully equipped for a cozy romantic time.
Captain Leo was a great host. We Loved it
Enjoyed our stay definitely a unique experience. Highly recommend it.
Had a great stay even had a dolphin swim behind the vessel as we we having coffee!!
My Partner and I spent two beautiful nights aboard the Liberty. The boat was very clean and very comfortable. The Marina itself is quiet and a great place to kick back and relax if you are seekinga few days of peace.
During our stay, we ran out of water onboard. Not sure why the water was not connected, that would have made everything a lot more convenient. Also, you will not find pots and pans on the boat if you are thinking about dining there.
Overall, our experience was extremely wonderful. I most certainly recommend staying on the Liberty if you are looking for privacy.
Relaxing and quiet.
Really enjoyed our two night stay. Captain Leo was a great host. Showed us where everything was during a walk-through before he left. Very quiet pier and slept like a log. Only suggestion would be to get some sort of cable TV or Wi-Fi so we can stream. Needed to see what the weather was like to go to the race track and had a hard time getting any info. All in all, a very relaxing stay and we would definitely do it again. Beautiful boat!!!
