We worked to create a mountain home that is crisp, clean, and cozy, and one that offers a warm, relaxing, and inviting space for other families to enjoy as much as we do!

Black Bear Vista is located in the desirable and gated Sherwood Forest Resort. The resort has an outdoor seasonal swimming pool and hot tub within a short walking distance from our cabin! You can walk there in less than five minutes or drive there within one! Our resort roads are paved, well-maintained, and easily drivable. We have comfortable parking for three full-size vehicles directly in front of our cabin. Overflow parking is within a short distance at the resort pool.

Our cabin is situated in a peaceful, woodsy setting and is surrounded by trees on all sides. We have stunning, direct views of the gorgeous Great Smoky Mountains National Park, lush mountain ranges, and famous Mt. Le Conte.

When you first enter Black Bear Vista from our large wrap-around deck, you’ll see the comfortable open-concept floor plan, beautiful stone fireplace, beams, and vaulted ceilings. You’ll be greeted with our new, stylish furnishings, soothing colors, and splendid views out the walls of windows overlooking the mountain ranges.

On your left is our well-stocked kitchen with all new appliances, pots and pans, dishes, flatware, glassware, cooking bowls, and utensils. You’ll also find both a traditional coffee maker and a Keurig coffee maker, 4-slice toaster, blender, and mixer. The kitchen boasts all new high-end stainless steel appliances and granite countertops, with a user-friendly layout that’s great for whipping up snacks and drinks or a full gourmet meal.

Just next to the kitchen is our open dining area with a new elegant dining table and comfortable seating for eight people at the table, with additional seating for two people at the kitchen’s granite bar. The dining room has lovely exposed beams and direct mountain views.

The living room, which is open to the kitchen and dining areas, has a beautiful stacked stone gas fireplace, vaulted and beamed ceilings, and all new furniture. You’ll enjoy our stylish furnishings - plush sofa, two comfortable chairs, two tables, lamps, and a flat screen Smart HD TV. The room’s many windows frame the perfect view!

Full glass French doors open from the living room to a vaulted A-frame covered deck that spans the width of our cabin. There are new comfortable and relaxing rocking chairs, bench, and side tables on this deck, ready for you to take a seat and enjoy the stunning mountain views. The views are amazing any season of the year! We love our direct views of the glorious Great Smoky Mountains and the famous Mt. Le Conte. Sunrises and sunsets are perfect out there! Relax and unwind with your morning coffee or your evening beverage on the deck, and take it all in! It’s so peaceful!

On this deck, you’ll also find our new, sparkling hot tub ready for you to enjoy. The jetted hot tub is in an ideal location on a covered deck with direct views of the lush mountains and starry skies at night.

On the main level of our cabin, you’ll also find a comfortable bedroom with a new king bed with new mattress and linens. There are also a new dresser, two nightstands, bedside lamps, and a Smart HD TV. The bedroom’s exposed beam ceiling is lovely.

Conveniently located just outside this bedroom, there is a full bathroom, with new porcelain tile flooring and granite countertop.

Downstairs, you’ll find one of our favorite cabin amenities - our in-house theater room! The comfortable reclining theater seating is on a tiered platform to optimize your viewing experience - just like in a nice movie theater. The theater room is equipped with a huge 75” flat screen Smart HD TV and surround sound system. It’s a perfect place to watch your favorite movie or team on game night!

The theater room is also furnished with a new plush queen size sleeper sofa.

In our theater room, you can also enjoy our new 60-game multicade arcade game with all your classic arcade game favorites. No coins or tokens are ever needed! We also have a pub table and chairs, board games, cards, and books in the theater room for you to enjoy when you’re not watching the big screen!

On the lower level of the cabin, you’ll also find two bedrooms and a full bath. One bedroom is furnished with a new queen over queen cedar log bunk bed, log dresser, bedside tables, and lamps. The mattresses and linens are also new, as well as the flat screen Smart HD TV. You can enjoy the mesmerizing Galaxy Aurora projector night light in this bedroom as well!

An additional bedroom on the lower level is furnished with a new upscale queen bed, with new mattress and linens, dresser, nightstand, lamp, and another flat screen Smart HD TV.

Just outside these bedrooms is a large bathroom with double sinks, a jetted tub and shower, new porcelain tile flooring, and granite countertop.

For your use, a washer and dryer are located on the lower level of the cabin.

There is another full covered deck off the lower level, furnished with more chairs and tables. It’s another relaxing space at the cabin to sit back and unwind. The deck is quiet and peaceful, with views of the mountains and surrounding trees.

On level three, you’ll find our fun game room with an updated billiards table, and equipment you’ll need for a great game of pool. There are chairs, a granite bar, and a new flat screen Smart HD TV here.

The game room, with its wall of windows, overlooks the living room below and is in a vaulted loft space with beautiful views.

On the upper level is the fourth bedroom, a beautiful primary bedroom with a vaulted A-frame ceiling and log beams. It has a new stylish king bed, mattress, and linens. It’s also furnished with a dresser, two side tables, bedside lamps, chair, and flat screen Smart HD TV. This bedroom also boasts an in-room fireplace and spacious jetted Roman tub.

Just off bedroom four is its en suite bathroom, with shower, new porcelain tile flooring, and granite countertop. The vaulted bathroom ceiling makes for another dynamic space.

We offer free WiFi, unlimited local and long distance calling, and cable TV and Netflix on all our seven TVs. There is an outdoor charcoal grill, iron and ironing board, hairdryers in each bath, and luggage racks in each bedroom available for your use. We have tried to think of everything large and small to ensure your stay is comfortable and relaxing.

Black Bear Vista is conveniently located in the Sherwood Forest Resort, a perfect spot for exploring all the area has to offer. We are only about 15 minutes to Great Smoky Mountains National Park, filled with breathtaking sights, wildlife, and history. We’re just a short drive to restaurants, shopping, museums, amusements, shows, and family entertainment. We are only about 5-10 minutes to all the fun of Pigeon Forge’s Parkway and 15 minutes to charming Gatlinburg. You can’t beat our convenient, central location!

Although our cabin is close to the hustle and bustle of the fun activities in the area, our cabin’s location is quiet and serene. It’s the best of both worlds! At any point during your stay, you may get lucky and see one of the local black bears that frequently visit our neighborhood!
