- The next level down has the den with a sleeper sofa. The 2 queen bedrooms are
also on this level. There is a full bath.
- The lowest level has the bunkhouse with a queen bed and 2 sets of bunk beds.

This is the perfect cabin for big families. We had ages from 4 to 58 years old and we have no complaints! This property is very clean and had everything we needed. Great location and communication. We definitely recommend!

Perfect cabin, great views

My wife and I stayed with our toddler for a Memorial Day week trip with her family. The cabin was magnificent and there was room for everyone. All the stairs have built-in baby gates which is helpful for wrangling small children. The views were also stunning. This will most likely be our preferred cabin on return trips.

Our stay was great. My family of 12 enjoyed the cabin. Plenty of room to move around freely. There are a lot of steps to climb but thats to be expected. Beautiful views all around. Highly recommend.

The Childhood Memories cabin has a great layout and everything we needed for our family. From grandparents to grandchildren, there was plenty of space and very accommodating for our group of 12.

Senior Trip to Dollywood!

The Childhood Memories cabin was perfect for our group as it had ample space with plenty of sleeping options. The location was perfect for the activities we had planned for the week, as it sits just outside of GSMNP and a hop, skip and jump to Dollywood! Its kitchen is well appointed and the deck overlooking the mountains is a perfect spot to relax with a book or a cup of coffee. I highly recommend for families or for friends needing a large space.

By far the best vacation my family has taken so far. The cabin is located in a great location. Minutes from everything. The built in baby gates in each floor was wonderful. My daughter in law said that it made life so much easier with my 3 year old grandson. The views are amazing. The owner was very helpful with everything and fast in responding. Today is a very very sad day to leave such a beautiful place. I cant say enough of how wonderful this cabin is. HUGE. Everything you need the owner has thought of everything.

Very accommodating for large groups

Clean,comfortable, lots of room, and great communication with the owner. The owner is very organized and has already thought out every detail to make your stay enjoyable. Beautiful cabin and views, wonderful for large families, and close to anything you would want to do. We had 13 people with us and were very comfortable and loved our stay.

Baseball haven

We played in the Ripken tournament and stayed with 2 other families. The bunk room was great for the boys and families did have their privacy. Great location to the baseball fields. We were able to host a team dinner and there was room out front for bags, playing catch and the families to socialize. Many of our families stayed in the neighborhood which made it fun for the boys.

Awesome week, plenty of room, pool table and theater big hits. Pool was only crowded 1 time. Saw several bears. Centrally located to any event you mite like. Would for sure come back. Owner easily contacted and responds quickly.

Family Vacation

Childhood Memories did not disappoint! The location was perfect and the accommodations were amazing. We had a large family vacation, with 7 children 4-15 and 8 adults. Everyone had plenty of space and having a full bathroom on each level was the best! The view was spectacular and we enjoyed the hot tub as well. We had to call our host on the first day and she was amazing (very responsive and available to help). Would highly recommend for large groups!

Excellent stay

This cabin hosted 16 of our family for my dad’s 60th birthday and it was more than we could have expected. Be prepared, there are a lot of steps, which was okay for our group, but may not be for people with mobility concerns. The cabin was extremely clean and had MORE than we could have needed. The kitchen is extremely well stocked, and the views off the deck are incredible. There was space for our whole group to spread out or be together when we wanted to. The karaoke and theater were incredible! We lost power for several hours due to a crazy wind storm, and the owner stayed in great contact and kept us updated throughout the process. We would definitely stay again!

Perfect location & size

There was a total of 11 of us. 8 kids & 3 adults. Cabin was plenty big to have space & be comfortable. Kids loved the bunk room, theater room with karaoke, & all the game systems. Moms loved the hot tub & not being able to hear the kids in the basement. Perfect location for great views & close to all the fun off the parkway. Cabin was stocked with everything we needed. We will be back!

This is one of the most beautiful property with an awesome view. We couldn't have asked for more. Property and its location is so nice that we wished we would have continued for some more time. Rooms and amenities were exactly as described. We were slightly delayed in check-out but property manager was so kind and accommodating to allow as that extra time. Overall, it was memorable stay and would like to visit it again in future.

Memories made at Childhood Memories

Very easy, communication was awesome right from the very start! The cabin is spacious and very well equipped. We were a family of seven adults and one toddler. We enjoyed all the outstanding features, the hot tub, jacuzzi bath, pool table and everyone's favorite Theater Room. While these features were all greatly appreciated they cannot compete with the views!! The views are amazing!! Highly recommend Childhood Memories

Beautiful cabin with even more beautiful views!!

2 families of baseball kids (total of 10 people) stayed at this cabin. Deanna was a great host, available any time I had a question and even let me know the cabin was available for early check in. The views from the two outdoor decks were beautiful, we had coffee in the morning and drinks at night out there every day. The kids enjoyed the movie room, pool table and hot tub. It was centrally located to Pigeon Forge and Gatlinburg, we thought the drive up and down was not very difficult having heard lots of others horror stories on inaccessible cabins. We stayed for a week and wish we could have stayed longer!

The house was in a great area. The video room was a hit with the kids. Hot tub was nice. The hair dryer in main floor bathroom did not work. Dirty curtains, dirty under the beds & dirty under the furniture in living room. Otherwise it was nice.

MULTI FAMILY VACATION

WE HAD A VERY NICE AND RELAXING STAY. THE CABIN WAS VERY NICE AND PLENTY OF ROOM FOR THE 13 OF US TO STAY. THE CABIN IS ONLY MOMENTS FROM THE PIEGON FORGE MAIN DRAG SO ACCESS WAS PERFECT. WE HAD THE FEEL OF BEING OFF IN THE MOUNTAINS WITH THE EASE TO DO EVERYTHING AT OUR FINGERTIPS. WE DID NOT HAVE ANY PROBLEMS AT ALL DURING OUR STAY, OUTSIDE OF A VISITING RACOON ON THE DECK. WE DID GET TO SEE A FAMILY OF BLACK BEARS DOWN AT THE POOL DURING OUR SWIM, NOT COMPLETELY UNEXPECTED. WE ALL VERY MUCH ENJOYED OUR VISIT AND HOPE TO BE BACK IN THE NEAR FUTURE.

I grew up in Kentucky in a large family long before computers and video games; it was a time when games like “kick the can” and playing in the old creek behind our house represented the sum total of my worldly ambitions. Every year we would go on a family vacation. We would all jump in the station wagon and fight over who had to sit on the “hump” while dad drove to the campground. We spent a week camping in some amazing national park – building fires, roasting marshmallows and singing campfire songs. It was fantastic time to be a kid and I would not trade those memories for anything.
Growing up during those times I learned that no one owes you anything in life and that hard work and honesty will get you far. My word and handshake was my bond.

It is with that attitude that I rent this cabin. I understand that you work hard for your money and I respect that. I will strive to give you the best possible value, vacation experience and enjoyment during your stay.

Why they chose this property

Sherwood Forest is perfectly located just 1 1/2 miles from the Parkway to give you the isolation and quiet you want while being close to all the action. There are tons of activates within a few miles of the resort - Dollywood, restaurants, outlet mall shopping, zip-lining, go-carts, putt-putt golf, etc. It also sits right on the edge of the park allowing easy access. Gatlinburg is also a quick 5 miles away so you can go there for a day trip.
Smoky Mountain national park is a short 5 mile drive.
The Smoky Mountains are an amazing place - hiking trails, drive-to overlooks, biking, and animals galore. In recognition of the park's unique natural resources, the United Nations has designated Great Smoky Mountains National Park as an International Biosphere Reserve.
I am sure you will fall in love with its beauty the same way I did.
