Map
You can shop in nearby Cookville or Crossville but we live in & the cabin rental is surrounded by the small Mennonite community of Muddy Pond. There are unique shops & good eating at the General Store, & Country Porch. Horse lovers will enjoy the Leather Shops & nature lovers will appreciate the serenity & natural beauty that are all around. In the fall, watch the old time sorghum mills operate. If you're staying for a bit, you may want to go farther afield to the Big South Fork which offers: Horseback Riding, Fishing, White Water Rafting and Hiking; or to Fall Creek Falls, Picket & Cumberland State parks which have: Scenic Trails, Swimming and Boating; Local Wineries, Historic Sights of the Cordell Hull birthplace, Alvin York home place or historic Rugby. Crossville offers golfing and the famous Playhouse. The Cumberland is alive with history & beauty. It's a place to relax & reflect & become acquainted with the real Tennessee. Step back to a simpler time & create a precious memory
Other Activities: The most important activity at the cabin is relaxing
Golf: Crossville Tn is considered the golf capital of TN. I don't know a thing about it :) but it's not far away if you want to go.

Ask a questionAbout Rosanna Horst
Our family lives right here in the community of Muddy Pond just 2 1/2 miles from our 3 cabins. Martin manages a storage shed business part time and is nearby if he's needed. He's a builder by trade and had a lot of fun building the cabins 'from scratch'. He even cut the trees from the 60 acres by the cabin and had a miller come in to saw them. I (Rosanna) wear a lot of different hats. I home schooled our 6 children, and am loving being a grandma now. I communicate with you, and make sure the cabin is ready for you. I enjoy cooking and baking, gardening and even some painting. We'd love to meet you, come see us!
Rosanna Horst purchased this cabin in 2000
Why Rosanna Horst chose Muddy Pond
About 18 years ago, 60 acres came up for sale just a couple miles back in from our home. We love the area and just can't think of any place we'd rather live, so......We put down a few more roots. The weather in this part of TN is ideal, and lots of retirees have moved here on the Cumberland Plateau because of it. We are also surrounded by natural beauty and the Cumberland Plateau is rich in waterfalls, caves and history.
What makes this cabin unique
When we travel, we love to find a secluded rental surrounded by nature. Our rentals reflect our interests, and we believe you'll enjoy the luxury of solitude and simplicity which renew our spirits.
