About this property

Large Luxurious, Yosemite Pines Lodge, Game Room, Pool, Spa & Ponies

The Lodge!

Yosemite Lodge is truly the best and most luxurious vacation rental in the Yosemite area. This newly renovated 3-story lodge is a short drive to Yosemite National Park and sits on 2.5 acres in a beautiful area of Mariposa County. The home comfortably hosts a large group (up to 14) and has amazing amenities both inside and out. It has a spacious master bedroom suite, two additional bedrooms, a den, a bunk room and two and a half baths.

The lodge is designed and equipped to be an amazing retreat. The large family and dining rooms have seating for your large group as does the spacious deck. Each bedroom has a comfortable bed and a smart TV. Kids large and small will have a great time in the fabulous game room or in the private above-ground swimming pool (open May 1st thru Oct1st) or in the 10-person spa. For the little kids there is plenty of room to run and play in the yard and there is a great play structure (which has a 110 pound weight limit) And for those little or big kids that love ponies, the owner has a small petting zoo and will arrange visits with her sweet miniature ponies.

The home is surrounded by pine trees and often there are local deer roaming through the property as well as rabbits, turkey and quail - all posing for your cameras!

Whether you are looking for a home base near Yosemite or you are looking for a peaceful retreat in a beautiful setting, your group will have a wonderful stay at this lovely home.

There are 5 security cameras on property - There are 5 Arlo security cameras that record both video and audio. One is outside above the front door looking out, and 2 are outside above the garage looking out. The other 2 are located down at the pond looking out at the pond.

Room for All

The family room has an extra large sectional sofa so that you and your guests will have room to spread out and a comfy place to hang out and watch the 75" Samsung TV. There are doors right off the family room to the deck to allow for smooth flow from indoor to outdoor fun.

Create delicious meals in the fully equipped gourmet kitchen and serve great meals in the adjacent dining area - which has a large table that can seat 10 plus a breakfast bar with seating for 4.

Outdoor Spaces

The outdoor area and amenities dedicated to this home are as comfortable and well appointed as the house. They include an above-ground swimming pool, a huge hot tub that seats 10, patio tables, and a picnic table as well as enjoy your morning coffee or an even glass of wine while sitting on the dock of the pond and enjoying the fountain. The 1000 sq ft deck has a fire pit for staying warm on cool evenings, dining tables and chairs for seating 12, a special little table for the kids and a gas BBQ. The large lawn that surrounds the home and the beautiful fountains scattered throughout the yard create a park-like atmosphere.

Fun with Games

This house is set up well for lots of fun and games! The game room in the finished garage has an air hockey table, pool table, foosball and shuffleboard. For outside games, the house comes with a corn hole game, bocce ball set, and an outdoor ping pong table.

Yes, there's ponies!

If you like spending time in nature with animals the owner has docile and friendly miniature ponies. That are just mere steps away from the house for you to enjoy a visit with.

A Great Location

The home is just 37 miles from the Arch Rock Entrance Gate to Yosemite National Park (via Highway 140), and only 33 miles to the South Entrance Gate (via Highway 41) to Yosemite. The owner recommends guest enter the park via the Arch Rock Entrance Gate if they wish to visit the Yosemite Valley.

The lodge is also a short 30 minute drive to Bass Lake, which is renowned for excellent fishing, hiking trails and warm waters. Wake borders flock to Bass Lake throughout the spring and summer as do boater, water skiers, paddle boarders, wave runner enthusiasts and more. Important note: The 'What's Nearby' section of this page indicates the mileage distance from this house to those listed locations. However, the distances are measured 'As the Crow flies', not driving miles.

Although the lodge setting is quiet and remote, it is a short 15 minute drive to downtown Mariposa and 20 minute drive to Oakhurst. Both towns offer grocery stores, restaurants and other retail stores. There is also a local diner/convenience store with fuel less than 1 mile away from the home.

While she wants to be available to you if you have questions or issues, the owner strives to leave you and your guests alone to enjoy your time at the home. 3 generation family vacation
Loved the well equipped house, very comfortable. Enjoyed seeing and learning about the various animals; Beth was most informative. Rode the Sugar Pine Railroad. Some of our group went to McClure lake for water water sports. Enjoyed the History museum in Mariposa. Got the most out of the pool and hot tub and the game room with so many games available. Best place for a group gathering.

Great accommodations near Yosemite
Our group of 10 friends stayed here for 2 nights, the first before a day trip to Yosemite. It was a wonderful thing to return the next afternoon and not drive too far after a long day in the park. Beth was up to date with Yosemite’s visiting status and we took her advice to leave very early in the morning. She was so accommodating and on top of everything from beginning to end! We really enjoyed our stay and would highly recommend this home! The house was very clean and comfortable

Why they chose this property

We think this home is in the perfect spot! It's a great location, midway between Mariposa and Oakhurst. Both Mariposa and Oakhurst are great towns, but with differing amenities and feel. Mariposa, 10 miles away, is picturesque, quaint and smaller, with interesting museums and several good dining choices. It's the closest town to the west entrance of Yosemite Park and the famous Yosemite Valley. (The west entrance of Yosemite, along Highway 140, is 38 miles from this rental home.) Oakhurst, 16 miles away, is the closest town to the south entrance of Yosemite (The south entrance of Yosemite, along Hwy 41, is 32 miles from this rental home). Just inside the south entrance is the Mariposa Grove of giant sequoias (FYI: this grove is closed for renovations until June 2018) and the Wawona area with its grand historic Wawona Hotel/restaurant. There are inviting natural river-swimming areas, pleasant hikes and the expansive Pioneer Yosemite History Center with historic buildings, carts and carriages on display, horseback and carriage rides, and a working blacksmith shop. Delicious all-you-can-eat BBQ picnics are served weekly on the lawn of the Wawona Hotel on Saturday evenings all summer. Oakhurst has additional amenities like a multiplex movie theater and a multitude of shopping venues, grocery stores and dining choices. It is also near the Sugar Pine Railroad (a historic full-size steam locomotive providing narrated family-oriented excursions through the mountain slopes plus a picnic and gold panning lessons). On the way home from the south entrance, visit picturesque Bass Lake (23 miles from this rental home), with its many sandy beaches, hiking opportunities, boat rentals and restaurants. Bass Lake water is a comfortable temperature for swimming in the summer.
