A good few days.

We had a really good time. The gite was very well equipped with everything we needed. Bob and Jo are excellent hosts, kept themselves to themselves but on hand if needed for any advice or recommendations for the area. We would definitely recommend!!!

A lovely peaceful retreat.

The title says it all. The gīte is in a wonderful location for branching out on cycles, walking or driving off. It has everything one would need and is in excellant condition. Jo and Bob are very agreeable hosts offering help and advice as needed without being intrusive. Highly recommended!

En recherche de campagne et de tranquillitĂ© ce gĂźte a totalement rĂ©pondu Ă  nos attentes. Au cƓur d’un paisible petit village perchĂ© sur une colline, le gĂźte comprend tous les Ă©lĂ©ments nĂ©cessaires et tous ces petits objets insolites qui embellissent le quotidien. Mais il permet aussi d’accĂ©der Ă  une grange meublĂ©e de façon originale avec jeux de flĂšchettes et table de Ping Pong et Ă  un petit jardin amĂ©nagĂ© en recoins agrĂ©ables idĂ©al pour le repos, la lecture, la mĂ©ditation ou l’observation de la nature. Et les hĂŽtes sont trĂšs sympathiques et Ă  l’écoute.

Fantastic location for hiking & jogging from the doorstep. Jo and Bob are super hosts ++. In the güte and shared facilities they have gone way beyond the norm in ensuring everything possibly needed is available. It was a real pleasure to have had interesting exchanges with Jo and Bob on hiking routes, local history and life in general. Highly recommended. We’ll be back. Jos & Fergal

The Gite par excellence

The accommodation was exceptional in every aspect. We can say with confidence that it is the best holiday rental we have ever occupied in our travels. The Gite was wonderfully comfortable and quiet and the cleanliness was of an amazingly high standard. The provisions within the Gite were superlative, with all the utilities required for self-catering purposes. There is also a library of reading material, music DVD’s and a huge catalogue of DVD’s to watch upon request. The location of the Gite was idyllic and quiet and is situated in a relaxed and sedate environment. The owners Bob and Joe have a beautifully maintained and secluded garden where you can relax and enjoy the tranquillity of the surroundings with a variety of seating and dining areas available and loungers. They are always at hand for information and guidance and were kind enough to allow us free use of their bicycles to explore the beauty of the local area, which was an added bonus! Another wonderful feature was full use of their converted barn known as ‘The Grange’, which was not only beautiful but palatial. The Grange provides another area where you can relax and have access to extra utilities such as another cooking area, washing machine and fridge/freezer. There is also a darts board and a table tennis table. Adrienne and I had a magnificent stay at this Gite and we wholeheartedly recommend this to anyone who wishes to come on holiday to the area and have a peaceful and serene stay in a place of high quality. My only regret is not to have found this accommodation sooner. I know that we will be back next year and for the years to come as for us it is a no brainer. Par excellence. Indeed!!!
