Updated Studio Close to Downtown with Large Moroccan Patio!

Our studio is located in a Spanish courtyard within close walking distance of historic downtown San Luis Obispo, Madonna Mountain, and the 101 North & South Fwy. Enjoy the sound of bubbling fountains and the chirping of birds from the lovebird aviary while you enjoy the private patio, well equipped home, and cable TV/Apple TV. Stroll downtown for a cup of coffee or brew a fresh cup at home with the Keurig maker. On the off chance it's cold, cozy up by the fireplace with a movie and local wine!

The space

Entire studio for rent. This studio is in an AMAZING location. It is conveniently located within a few blocks of the 101 North and South freeway. It is within 5 blocks of beautiful downtown historic San Luis Obispo. It is really easy to walk downtown and enjoy the many wonderful restaurants, sites, bars, and shops that are downtown. There is free parking available on the street. The neighborhood is very safe and quiet.

The Spanish studio is in a private Spanish courtyard on the 1st level (one apartment on top of the home) and next door to a Spanish home. It has a patio with a porch swing and an outdoor couch that is perfect for drinking coffee or just relaxing and enjoying the bubbling fountain or the chirps of the birds.

The home boasts a California king bed, full kitchen (with full refrigerator, oven/range, microwave, toaster, electric water pot, Keurig coffee maker), full bathroom, living area, and walk-in closet. The bathroom has a large, walk-in shower with a hand held shower head for your convenience. It has a heater and a vent fan. It has a large black cabinet for storage, in addition to the vanity drawers and medicine cabinet. There is a hair dryer provided in the bathroom for your use. There is also a tall narrow cabinet outside the kitchen for pantry items. The bed has a nightstand next to it for additional storage.

The living area has a comfortable couch, mounted large flat screen TV with cable (access to hundreds of TV shows), Apple TV (where you can access your own HuluPlus, Neflix, Pandora, etc. accounts), and a wall mounted electric fireplace that functions as a heater and is remote control operated. The living area of the home has large built in drawers for storage and a bookshelf on the wall with books.

There is a full kitchen available for your use with a full refrigerator and oven/stove. There is a microwave, toaster, Keurig coffee maker (with some coffee pods provided as well), and hot water pot that is provided for your use. There are also cups/bowls/silverware/etc for your use as well. Coffee, cream, and sugar are provided for your convenience. There are also pots/pans/etc that are available for your use.

**Please note that during the summer months and during periods of warm weather the fireplace is turned off. A space heater will be provided in the event the fireplace is not on.

This place is ideal for 1 or 2 people.

Non-smoking home and property. Smoking is NOT permitted inside or outside of the home. Smoking on the premises will lead to a forfeiture of the deposit.

Clean towels, bedding, etc. are all provided. Shampoo, conditioner, and body wash are all provided as well.

When staying with us on a long-term basis we provide a laundry service for the towels and sheets in the home. This is at no additional charge and is done on a weekly basis (we do not wash personal items- just the towels and linens of the home).

-Many bus stops close by (one is approximately two blocks away). The main bus transit hub is approximately 10 minutes walking distance away.
-Downtown San Luis Obispo is only 5 blocks away!
-Historic Jack House 4 blocks away.
-Park two blocks away with free outdoor fitness center.
-There are two other parks within 10-15 minutes walking distance.
-MANY restaurants, bars, shops, etc. within 6 blocks. There is an amazing sushi restaurant and Italian restaurant approximately 5 blocks away.
-Mission is a 5 minute walk.
-5 minutes walking distance to the bottom of the trail head for Madonna mountain. (The hike is moderately strenuous and takes about an 1-2 hours)
-15 minutes driving distance to Avila Beach
-5 minute drive to Cal Poly
-7 minute drive to the airport
-10 minute drive to Cuesta College
-50 minute drive to Hearst Castle
-20 minute drive to Morro Bay- Great place for clams and seafood!

This home is very unique. It's in a Spanish courtyard. The house that it shares the property with is very old. This home was actually recently built so everything is only a few years old.

Other Notes:

There is an aviary of lovebirds and budgies outside (attached to the main house). They're not very loud but you can hear them if you're sitting on the patio.

There are 3 little dogs on the property. They will not be loose in the yard but you may hear them at some point. They're very sweet and they don't bark a lot but just a heads up. They do not live in the house that is available. Unfortunately we are not able to accommodate additional pets.

Guest access

The entire studio home is private and for your exclusive use; the living area, kitchen, and bathroom. The patio directly outside the home is for your use only. All other areas are private. We appreciate your cooperation and respect of our home.

Note: Our storage facilities are in view of the patio. We respect your privacy as much as possible but at times you may see us retrieving something.

Interaction with guests

I am available to my guests by phone/e-mail throughout their stay. I come by the main home on the property daily so I am around and available to answer any questions but respect the privacy of those that stay with us.

Other things to note

There are birds and fountains on-site. The noise from the fountains or birds may pose a problem for very light sleepers.
