Wonderful stay at the Lavinia House. Amenities plentiful, good locality to Travelers Rest and Downtown Greenville. Quiet neighborhood. Plentiful parking! Would stay there again!
We have been using VRBO for many years and this property was the cleanest, most well maintained of any we have ever rented. The beds are super comfortable, the living area inviting for family and friends to gather, and the open kitchen/dining room layout will certainly entice your group to grab a chair to supervise or jump in to assist. Let's not forget the front porch, relaxing rocking chairs and a huge stone and wood coffee table. Certainly, one of the most enjoyable trips for my family. Thank you, Rhode, for being a terrific host, we hope to return soon.
There were four of us who met when we were freshman at Penn State and we’ve been getting together in different locations for the past twenty years. Everyone enjoyed Greenville and loved the Lavinia house and location. It was so comfortable and was very “well equipped”.
We loved it!
Thank you Rhode and Mark

We traveled only as far as Asheville to stay in this lovely completely renovated craft style home. I picked it because we could walk to Bon Secours for the Hootie and the Blowfish concert. But we also walked to the Saturday Market. It was so clean and clutter free. Beds were comfy, nice big dining room for meals and games. Our host responded to my few questions quickly. A good time was had by all!
We came to Greenville for the Weezer concert, and this was the perfect place. It is walking distance to the arena, and the house is super cool and comfortable. I will stay here again next time!
We were very pleased with the location and the house itself. Check in was a breeze and the owner was very nice to work with. Plenty of room for a family of 8. We highly recommend staying here.
I was so very embarrassed to return home to my own abode that doesn't begin to live up to the cleanliness of this home! Truly, not a speck of dust or dirt, even in the corners. Lovely quiet location, close to downtown Greenville (short car ride) to a church conference we attended for a week. When our conference is held in Greenville again, I will be booking Lavina House again!
My family was in for a extra long weekend to attend a wedding the weekend before Christmas. While we thought the house would be nice we were surprised at how large it was. Other family members were also staying in rentals but they all joined us one day because ours was the nicest and offered plenty of parking.
It was a short walk to the downtown ( 1/2 mile) though it was slightly uphill. Then it was downhill on the way back.
If you want to enjoy Greenville excellent choice.
Our family stayed at the house when we were in town for a family wedding. It was fabulous. It's very spacious, clean, and close to the downtown area. We will definitely stay there again if we return to Greenville!
An absolutely beautiful home inside and out in a convenient location. Wonderful antique furniture and decorum. Enjoyed the front porch rockers and chairs on deck. Host and owner readily helpful if and when needed
Only place I have rented that offered quality disposables Downtown within a nice walk distance. I highly recommend this rental unit especially if you are somewhat nostalgic.
The house was very clean and had plenty of room for all of us! We were in town for a wedding and it was a decent location for all the wedding activities!
We enjoyed the house very much. It had lots of gathering space. Especially loved the porch. Some of the beds could use updated mattresses that are not so noisy but the rest of our stay there was lovely.
Thank you so much
Such a nice home and location. Easy walk to downtown, shopping, dining, 1.1 miles to the Reedy River.
We celebrated the birthday of our 92 year old father/grandfather and it was made so special by the accomodations of the house. Games around the dining table and chatting, in the sitting room and morning coffee in the shade on the porch.
Thanks for all Mark and Rhode!

She has the gift of hospitality and is very passionate about it.
Why they chose this property
We were attracted to this historic bungalow in downtown because of its location and charm. The front porch is inviting and the Bon Secour arena. can be seen a short block away. The dining room gets lots of natural light from the great bowed side windows and the large front window. The kitchen is spacious and open to the dining room making it a very nice place to gather. The living room provides another amazing space with a charming and bright reading alcove. The whole house has been tastefully decorated with every bedroom having a theme. Much love and time has been poured into the renovation, decorations and equipping of our Lavinia house. We trust our guests will enjoy all the loving touches added.
What makes this property unique
We loved the layout of the house. Considering that it is an older home, the high ceiling and open plan makes this a unique design.
