About this property

Comfortable family-friendly 3 bedroom house in south central Iowa

This 3 bedroom, 1 bath centrally located house is the perfect place for your family to stay while visiting Chariton and the surrounding area! Much more convenient and comfortable than a motel, you will have a living room, fully equipped kitchen, as well as laundry facilities in the (unfinished) basement. There are three bedrooms to sleep a total of 7 people.
The master bedroom contains a new queen bed, a suite of antique furniture and a new TV with Roku device. The second bedroom has a full sized bed, and there is a room designed to be kid-friendly with a bunk bed that is twin over full. All have comfortable bedding and are tastefully furnished. The recently remodeled bath has a shower/tub combination and a vessel sink. Free WiFi access is provided to keep you connected while you are away. The living room has a 48" smart TV with streaming DirectTV access. You can also stream movies using your online accounts. One end of the living area has a dining table that expands to seat 6-8 people for family meals and there is a desk for work if needed. The kitchen is fully equipped with all appliances, dishes, and cookware. There is a small dining table in the kitchen that seats 2 to 4. Outside there is room for the kids to play in the large back yard. This house was exactly what we needed for our two night girls trip! Everything was so neatly ready for us and we appreciated the abundance of towels avaliable. We appreciated the comfortable beds, homey feel and the coffee and butter that we used. All of the communication was wonderful and the keypad worked well! We loved being close to town! A perfect stay to celebrate turning 60 and to be home for Homecoming! Thank you!!!

The owner is a native of Chariton and grew up in this house. Now living in Texas, but with many family and friends in the area, she and her family love to spend time in Chariton whenever possible. She has enjoyed updating this house over the past year to share with others who live elsewhere but have reason to visit this warm and friendly southern Iowa community. The property manager, Donna, is a cousin of the owner and lives nearby. She will be sure to do anything possible to make your stay comfortable and welcoming.
