Enjoy your own refreshing oasis with your family or friends in our Stock Tank Pool, which here in Texas we call a Cowboy Pool, which can be heated for $35/night. Our gorgeous cottage features an open concept kitchen and living room and is perfect for entertaining or relaxing while on business or vacation. One bedroom with an organic memory foam queen bed and above a delightful loft with a queen organic futon mattress. Cute bath with all towels and bath essentials provided. Fully stocked beautiful kitchen. Enjoy your own private patio out the kitchen door, or spread out in the back yard that you'll share with me.

Our neighborhood is home to many artists and creatives, including The Cathedral of Junk which is a 3 minute walk and a must-see for anyone visiting Austin.

Cute little place in the middle of everything

Absolutely perfect

If you’re looking for a getaway to Austin, that is close proximity to everything, this is your place. We called it our little cottage. It’s absolutely beautiful, comfortable, and the host is amazing. The location couldn’t be more perfect as it’s close to everything, but yet you feel like you’re out of the hustle and bustle of the city. This place would be good for couples, families, girls, trip, or just to get away by yourself. I will definitely be back.

Perfect Austin Stay

This home far exceeded my expectations! The photos are lovely and inviting in the listing; however, in person, the quality of the furnishings, open layout, and thoughtful details made me not want to leave. It’s much larger than I imagined - an open living room with plenty of seating for friends or family, large kitchen island for eating breakfast, and ample counter space to prepare quick meals or a full family feast. The coffee and tea bar was well appointed and there was a separate box of breakfast and healthy snack items to grab and enjoy on the go. We slept so well in the beds - the quilts made us feel so cozy. There are also modern, battery-powered blinds which block out all light and provided complete privacy. I wish we had more time to enjoy the outdoor living space and pool - so cute! We will definitely be back again!

I am one of the few Austin original natives! Even though this amazing city has gone through so many changes, it still has my heart. The culture, vibrancy, beauty and creativity still inspires me. It is an active city, so I'm often on my bike, hiking or being on the water on paddle boards. I love live music and exploring all of Austin's wonderful restaurants. I have a love of pottery and ceramics and dabble in making things. And I love to host! :-)

Why they chose this property

This is my home, and I loved it from the first day! It has the unique old Austin bungalow style and feel, without being in the fray of downtown and congestion. The guest house is snuggled into our back yard and is quiet and low key. It has high ceilings and lots of natural light. Quite spacious for the footprint.

What makes this property unique

I renovated our backyard garage into a gorgeous guest house, and it was an absolute winner! Although the footprint is 540 square feet, the high ceilings and natural light make it feel amazingly spacious. It has the perfect combination of clean modern with a cozy, bright feel! I also fell in love with the neighborhood that's away from the crazy, but an easy drive to SOCO area.
