Beach/Waterfront Chesapeake Bay Northern Neck Home
Beach/Waterfront home with spectacular, unobstructed views. Enjoy our private white sand beach and our 1.5 acre property with beautiful old trees. The layout has space for everyone and every age with it’s porches, deck, balcony and private garage apartment. I traveled the world and yet the Northern Neck is my favorite place because of of it’s untouched and peaceful beauty and my many childhood and adult memories. EVERY season is absolutely gorgeous and our bright, clean and airy waterfront home has all of the amenities that you need for a relaxing vacation. The Northern Neck is called the road less traveled, because it’s a place to get away, experience the vast and wide waterfront of the Chesapeake Bay, see the massive sky of stars and relax with your family and friends. It’s a child's paradise as it’s a perfectly safe place to explore. Watch ships sail by and Bald Eagles soar above. Use our bikes, take walks along the beach, collect sea glass and arrow heads, kayaks, play corn hole, or volley ball, enjoy steamed crabs on our outdoor picnic table or just sit on the porch swings and watch the hummingbirds. We love the serenity and view on the second floor screened in porch. It’s the perfect place for family meals or card games. Our kitchen is fully equipped with everything you could possibly need. If you prefer to venture out there’s plenty to do, waterfront restaurants, an ice cream parlor, antique shops, wineries along the Chesapeake Wine Trail, trips to Tangier Island, the Fisherman’s museum, golfing and other historic landmarks. If you have small children we have a crib, bedside rail, high chair, children’s tables and chairs, life preserves and plenty of indoor and outdoor toys.

The beach house was amazing. We enjoyed swimming, kayaking, bike riding and so much more. The best was being with family since we had been separated for the last couple of months due to the pandemic. We enjoyed the large space on the screened in porch for evening games and watching the sea. Beautiful sunsets! Thank you for sharing your home.

Thank you for you nice message. I'm sorry that I did not see it until now. We hope you come back!

Leslie's place on the Chesapeake Bay has a million dollar view, great amenities, nice touches, and a well-appointed vacation home.
The house is not large and the rooms are cozy, but our group of 7 were comfortable and enjoyed our stay.
Leslie was easy to reach and quick to answer questions. The kitchen had all we needed to cook, including spices and essentials you might have forgotten.
The personal beach and deck with chairs at the shore are great for hanging out late afternoon -- or early morning watching the sun come up over the Bay. It's a great place and we'd stay there again!
We really enjoyed our time at Seashalls The house was clean, well equipped. The house was really cute and had a lot of little things that just made it enjoyable to relax. We enjoyed stunning sunrises and sunsets were just as wonderful. Lots of sitting areas to gather and hang out. My favorite was the screen porch over looking the bay. Charming house and is perfect beach for kids. We enjoyed Kayaking walking biking etc. The beach is very nice to take a little walk. The tree swing was a hit for us too. Owner was very helpful with answering all my questions and Looking forward to come back one day.

The house is very clean and has everything you need! Having the kayaks, chairs and bikes made it stress free. Jellies were already out, but if you get out to the sandbar, you can swim in the water. The screened in porch is wonderful! We grilled every night which made the cleanup easier since the kitchen is small. Will definitely be back!
We loved the house and guest apartment over the garage. The views were gorgeous and the private beach was a nice pick-me-up during the pandemic. The only thing I would change is to ask the owner to provide bedding and ask the housekeeping staff to drive trash to the local dump. The dumps are a half-hour away, so a bit inconvenient. We would stay there again, since the property is fabulous for a family of five.
This was our second stay at this lovely house right on the beach. It is fully equipped with tons of things to do kayaks, bikes, ping pong, lots of games and toys and the most awesome swing ever! Great place for a relaxing family vacation...
we loved the length of the beach for walking but were disappointed with the fishing because of the negative impact the commercial fishing nets have in this area!
We had a spectacular 10 day stay at this lovely house. The weather was incredible for October and we were in the water every day, we swam, kayaked, took long walks on beach searching for seaglass (and found a ton!), saw dolphins and amazing stars at night! The property is lovely with everything you could need and lots of games/toys for the kids. We enjoyed ping pong in the garage, all the amazing swings and eating on the screened in porch. There was also ample room for everyone (3 kids and 2 adults to work/do online school during the day). Lovely stay - thank you so much!
Very nice experience. Property manager was very responsive. Kitchen was well equipped. Kayaking was super fun. Would be great for kids. View was beautiful. We had great weather. Private beach was lovely. Hummingbirds were fun to watch. We had an engagement here so will always have great memories of this place!
Biggest issues were many mosquitos/ biting flies, jellyfish in the water, poor phone service, and no internet in guest house. Screened in porch helped with bugs but has some holes.
We had a great time! Very clean and nicely decorated. Short walk down to private beach. Lots of items available for use including kitchen items and beach toys. Great for kids. Beautiful views from living area, kitchen, bonus apartment. Very rural area but we felt safe the whole time. We can't wait to return!

Hi Nathaniel,
I'm sorry that I didn't even see this review until now. It was really nice reading it and I'm so happy that you had a nice vtime. We hope you come back. Enjoy the fall!

Had a great time playing games, eating on the screened porch, ping pong in the garage, but the draw of this location is the open water of the Chesapeake. Loved paddling at sunset out to the weir in the middle of the river and watching the birds. Be careful of the jellyfish when swimming though!

Why they chose this property
The cottage is beautiful, bright, clean and has plenty of amenities. The location is an easy drive from DC or Richmond and is surrounded by quiet beauty with your own private beach. The Northern Neck is called the Road less Traveled.
What makes this property unique
Children toys and cribs, adult and child bikes. A beautiful deck right on the water as well as a screened in porch and another porch with porch swings. and The main cottage has 3 bedrooms and the garage apt has one bedroom in case you want to split up your group. We usually let guests stay in the garage apt so they can sleep in as our children are early risers!
