About this property

The Moulin de Courmauboeufs. Private park and river

Authentic water mill dating from the 17th century fully restored for residential use offering 8
comfortable rooms from 12 to 15 m2, two of which are communicating (6 bedrooms with double bed and 2 bedrooms with 2 single beds), a large dining room with a monumental fireplace where you can make beautiful outbreaks with the wood that we will provide you with on request, a fitted and very well equipped kitchen, a large living room in the old engine room, 3 bathrooms with large showers and bathtub. All parts of the mill overlook the river! . A 10,000 m2 park made up of tree-lined islands bordered by the Huisne (fish-filled river, etc.). A half hour walk in the property will delight you in any season. The mill is on a marked footpath. The GR36 goes to 300 m. A large barbecue, a large garden furniture, a large table for outdoor dining prices will delight you. Sunbathing, 1 boat, ping pong table, swings, are available. The mill is located 1Km from the Boulerie Jump (European horse center), 8 minutes from the entrance to the 24H Le Mans circuit, 10 minutes from downtown Le Mans. At 5 minutes, you can refuel either at LIDL or at the Leclerc Center. An excellent baker in the village of Yvré l'Evêque will delight you with his bread and pastries.
Access to the mill is via an Eiffel bridge. The mill has 2 wheels. The machinery of one of the mills is entirely preserved with its two pairs of flour millstones. The frame is visible with its huge beams (50 * 50). The ceiling height is 3.10 on the ground floor, 2.80 M on the 1st floor. The attic on the 2nd floor is furnished and lit by seated dogs. The mill is a little paradise for water birds (Heron, duck, Kingfisher, Coot, cormorant, ...). The big trees shelter squirrels, woodpeckers .... The fish-filled river provides pike, perch, eel, chub, carp, roach, studs and a few more trout. You are surrounded by nature and yet a few minutes from the city of Le Mans and many possibilities for outings with family or friends. Among this one, at 5 minutes you have the Arch of nature with its farm, its forest house, its orchard and its working mill. The PAPEA amusement park (the largest in western France) is 5 minutes away. For golfers, you have the choice between the golf of Sargé and that of the circuit (Mulsanne). On a day (50 KM one way), you can visit the Alpes Mancelles in the north, the Loire valley and the Lude castle in the south, La Ferté Bernard in the Sarthois pole in the east with its old town and its canals (walks by boat), Solesme Abbey in the West with its masses sung in Gregorian by the monks. Of course, you should not miss (10 minutes) the medieval city of Le Mans and its magnificent Romanesque and Gothic Cathedral as well as the Cistercian abbey of Epau founded by the Queen Berengere, the wife of Richard the heart of a lion! . Come, you will be delighted. We will welcome you and will be at your disposal to make you discover our beautiful region!
