About this property

Set on a private 17-acre freshwater Lake in the bustling village of Patchogue, Long Island, NY. The elevated stance of our mid-century craftsman-style home provides commanding views of sunrise, swans, and a vast variety of birds. With a total of four over sized bedrooms, three offering amazing direct waterfront views and privacy, comfort and convenience the Lake House offers accommodations for up to 10 guests. The Red Room, with its lake views, has a new queen bed with an en suite bathroom. The Blue room offers corner breezes, water views of over 180 degrees, a queen bed, and has a spacious private bathroom with a tub and shower just across the hall. An additional bonus room for larger families offers up to two queen beds (1 inflatable queen) suitable for young adults (over the age of 8 please) this room would share the main hall bathroom with the Blue room, or the red room (if they want to share ) The Master bedroom is on the main level with a wall of windows facing the lake, its warm hand-scraped hickory floors and restoration hardware sleigh bed provides a welcomed retreat. The Master BR has its own renovated modern bathroom, which includes 2 sinks, and a large glass shower, and plenty of storage. Our home has a lakefront dining room with a craftsman table that can accommodate up to 14 people, adjoining is a beautiful living room with plenty of seating to entertain. Our sunken den has floor-to-ceiling windows that face the lake and provides the best viewing of the abundant wildlife that visit us throughout the day. It has a large L shape leather sofa from where you can enjoy the views or simply watch TV on a rainy evening. Cooking in our open-style kitchen is relaxing and you can still entertain while cooking in our 40 ft waterfront room. Our bar height kitchen table offers seats for 4 or more people.

We have enjoyed the past 15 years here and now look forward to sharing this hidden gem with you. The Lake House has garnered over 70 5 ***** star awards from guests and we have earned super hosting status from other rental companies.

Our home is a peaceful retreat from the everyday. This 1963 craftsman-style home is amazing, large, and tranquil. We travel all over the world, have collected a few treasures and also love having a few Antiques in our home. When we travel we stay in Airbnb's, BnB's, hotels, apartments and we know how to treat guests in our home. Come stay for a month, it's the Lake House - you will leave happy & relaxed. We speak English and French.

We will do our best to inform and introduce you to our island. There are so many amazing things to do within only 30 min of our home. Come stay at the Lake House.

From the outside, the Lake House looks cute and small, like an adorable cape from the 1950s. Upon entering for the first time we realized the joke was on us. 40-foot open kitchen unveils a sunken pecan wood-floored den with 10-foot windows overlooking a freshwater lake teeming with wildlife. We were sold. We actually made an offer the next day and have been in love with her for the past 13 years. The renovations and energy efficiency upgrades include 100% LED lighting and almost all of her appliances are new. The idyllic entry will make you feel at home and our furniture has been eclectic and accumulated over a lifetime. We know you will enjoy the Lake House as we have, even if you are only going to stay for a month.

Additional benefits include our proximity to the hottest village on Long Island, Patchogue. With over 20 new eateries, shops and attractions, you are bound to spend considerable time wandering around.

With Hardwood floors throughout, the Lake House is warm and comfortable. Nothing in her is pretentious or fake, just like her owners. We have selected bedding, fabrics, art and furnishings that are quality and comfortable.
