About this property

Recently refreshed with new paint throughout, new flooring in the main bathroom, new furniture, and a new outdoor shower.

You will be renting the entire house (3 bed / 2 bath). It's 1 row from the bay, and a five minute walk to the beach. Easy access to the bars and restaurants. Enjoy bay views from the second floor, and grilling on the back patio.

The house has two floors. On the main floor are the living room, dining area, kitchen, a full bath, and two bedrooms. The first bedroom has two twin beds, great for two people to share. The other main floor bedroom has a queen bed, which also comfortably sleeps two adults.

On the second floor is the third bedroom / primary suite, which occupies the entire floor. It's our favorite part of the house and has a queen bed, full bathroom, wet bar and private balcony. There are also windows or sliding doors facing all four cardinal directions , and a view of the bay.

The house has Verizon FIOS 1GB service, and a TV with a Roku device. Each bedroom as a window A/C unit.

Great vibes, great location

We very much enjoyed our stay at very comfortable Haus Flamingo in Cherry Grove. Hanging out in the house, decks, and garden and cooking meals in the well-equipped kitchen was a pleasure. The location is most convenient to the beach, grocery, restaurants and water taxi. Our hosts Geoff and Mike were most welcoming and extremely responsive to our communications. Definitely would return!!

We are a couple who have been vacationing in Cherry Grove for more than a decade, and recently purchased our house. We are happy to offer suggestions about what to do and where to go!

Why they chose this property

Haus Flamingo is a "classic" Cherry Grove home - it feels very much like a beach house and an escape from regular life. It was built in the 1960s, but as far as we're aware, we're only the third set of owners. There's been a lot of care put into it over the years, and we're continuing that tradition by making several respectful upgrades this Summer, and planning several more over the next few seasons. Other than location and size, we really just like the unique character of it - it's not "cookie cutter", and reminds us that there's a unique history to the communities on this island that's worth preserving.
