About this property

L'attitudes - Family memories almost guaranteed

Situated on a beautiful wide canal with views of the bay, L'Attitudes easily accommodates 8 guests in 3 bedrooms, plus a loft. We have recently updated and improved to make your stay enjoyable and memorable. There is an open boat slip, if you want to bring your boat. We have a large covered deck upstairs. Downstairs, there is a large paved patio with shade and a breeze, beside the water. Fish, swim, kayak, and crab from your own private dock. L'attitudes is just minutes from the beach and the public pool. We recently added a new swim ladder, to make it easier to get in and out of the canal. We also added video cameras downstairs to improve security for our guests.

We provide a well-equipped kitchen, as well as gas and charcoal grills. We fell in love with this place watching our daughters with a hot dog in one hand a fishing rod in the other. Come make your own memories to share.

Excellent family getaway!

House was great! Plenty of room, lots of activities (games, puzzles,etc) for rainy days or when we needed an indoor break from the heat! All the things we needed at our fingertips-beach access close by, groceries nearby, restaurants, etc. all very reasonable distances!

The location on the canal with the huge dock was awesome. So much fishing and swimming and kayaking. The kids and adults had an amazing time. The house is beautiful and spacious! The beds were superb. The hot water and water pressure were amazing. Great neighborhood and close to anything you need.

Loved everything about this place. Great location. Loved the fenced in yard for the doggies. Enjoyed kayaking in the bay and fishing right off the back porch. Loved all the sliding glass door that opened onto the balcony. Wonderful place!

Great time in Jamaica Beach

We had a nice stay in this house. Kids loved it. We even acquired some extra kids that liked our rental better than theirs so they stayed with us. Loved crabbing and caught a few big ones! We threw them back so hopefully they will be a nice dinner for someone else. The house had all you could need. We would love to come back for longer.

Our family loved the stay! The location of the house is great. The house was very clean, plenty of room for all, home away from home! The owner, John, is very friendly and kept in touch prior to our stay. We actually reserved another stay for later this year. Property was great and the host was very responsive. The kids enjoyed fishing from the dock, using the crab taps, and using the kayaks. This was a great place that had everything we needed. The beach was a short drive and was not crowded at all for an October Tuesday. The kids really enjoyed the checkin snacks! Thanks for home away from home.

Wonderful stay!

We had a fabulous time at L'attitudes. The location was perfect. We enjoyed using the kayaks every day to paddle to the bay and watch the sunset. And we loved that beach access was just a short drive. The guys had a great time fishing in the canal. The owners were very responsive. It was a wonderful trip and we hope to return!

Weathering the storm

We had a tropical storm blow in a ruin deep sea fishing trips but we still ended up having a lot of fun kayaking in the canal and down roads lol ( due to flooding) crabs were biting and even caught a few stone crabs. We will definitely be back but hopefully next time no storm.

Great place for whole family

Great location and great layout. We have 3 kids. A 13 yr old an 11 yr old and a 1.5 yr old. Finding a place like this is priceless. I felt like my toddler was safe and still able to participate in the fun and fishing. My two older kids were constantly entertained and each had their own space. We didn’t want to leave and will definitely be back.

Family Vacation

This is our favorite place to stay in Jamaica Beach! We have rented this canal house multiple times and during various seasons on the year. It never disappoints! The property is always very clean and kitchen spices well stocked. No need to pack the basics, it’s already there. All beds and living area furniture is comfortable. Plenty of room for everyone to sit and enjoy each other’s company, whether you are outside or inside. Thank you for sharing your home. We will be back!

I spent much of my youth on Galveston Island and it's still one of my favorite places in the world. My family and I have lived in Colorado and Idaho, but Texas always seemed to pull us back.

Why they chose this property

We rented this house in 2006, when it was Badger Den, and fell in love with it. We were living in Idaho and got one week each year at the beach. We moved back to Texas and bought a smaller house in Jamaica Beach in 2009, but still had fond memories of this one. As our family grew, we needed more room and when this house came on the market, we knew it was meant to be. A family of Aggies couldn't own a house named Badger Den, so it became L'attitudes - a place where attitudes are adjusted.

What makes this property unique

L'attitudes is at the end of a cul de sac, has a great view of the bay, is on a large canal, and has plenty of shaded outdoor room to relax and enjoy.
