Archie's Lake Daze Cottage - No Pets

Soak up the beautiful lake views from a rocker on the porch or the 2 person hammock between the pine trees. This cozy cottage has 3 BR and 2 Baths and a stocked kitchen to make you feel right at home. Enjoy fishing from your private dock or take a spin in the paddle boat or kayaks provided. After a long day on the lake, you can enjoy a game of pool, classic arcade games, darts, or board games. WiFi is provided as well as 4 smart TVs. There is plenty of parking for your vehicles and water toys.
The space
This beautiful and simple cozy cottage is on the private Church Branch Lake Division of Lake Marion. Take in the lake scene from the dock at dusk and get up in the morning to a beautiful misty lake and a cup of coffee. Fayz on the Lake restaurant and Dollar General are within walking distance from the cottage. Boat on our smaller private lake, or on the large lake Marion, your choice, both landings are within 2 minutes, unfortunately, the two lakes do not connect by water.

Very quiet location. The view of the lake was great. Plenty of room for the five of us. The kitchen and bathrooms were well stocked. The beds were a little hard but not unbearable.

The cottage was exactly as described and Lisa was great to work with. My husband and I enjoyed a long, relaxing weekend with our daughters. The cottage was quiet, private, and the hammock was perfect for my afternoon naps.

We can't recommend this property more enthusiastically. It's the perfect place to escape for a few days. Not kidding, you won't want to leave. The cottage is nicely furnished with the essentials, and the quiet street, the lake access, and the proximity of Manning and Santee make this the ideal location for a break from the stressors of your life. Make a fire. Go boating, or just read in the hammock. You can't miss with Lisa and this cottage.

Great place. This is my dream lot. Walk to the lake and peaceful neighborhood. Great with 3 bedrooms and 2 baths for a family. Very clean.

When reading about the home I was under the impression that it was on lake Marion and it is not. Lake Marion does feed this body of water and there is fish in it and the water levels were high enough to dock our boat at the house from a landing about 2 miles away. The home does have a dart board, an arcade game and a pool table but the darts were missing several parts, the arcade was not working and the pool table isn’t level. Yes these may be small things but my husband chose this home based on these things. The king bed was nice but hard for any that has back issues. The only place I had phone service was at the end of the dock or on the lake. They have lots of streaming if you are into watching movies. We did not use the kayak or paddle boat. All and all we enjoyed ourselves and caught fish and the house had everything we needed. The host was awesome and responded quickly.

Our listing clearly states that the home is not located on Lake Marion, and there is no waterway connecting the property to Lake Marion. We make every effort to describe the location accurately so guests know what to expect before booking. We apologize about the missing dart pieces, as we were not aware of this and appreciate you bringing it to our attention. We will get those replaced. The arcade game was unfortunately not working during your stay, which we had communicated to you. We also appreciate you letting us know about the pool table so we can check the leveling. Mattress comfort can certainly vary from person to person. We have generally received very positive feedback from guests about the comfort of the king bed, but we understand that a firmer mattress may not be comfortable for everyone. Cell service in this lake-area location can also vary considerably depending on the carrier, which is why we provide Wi-Fi and streaming options at the home. We’re very happy that you were able to dock your boat at the property, enjoy the fishing, and ultimately had an enjoyable stay. Thank you again for choosing our home and for your feedback.

Amazing little lake house

We have 2 older sons, our oldest son lives in San Antonio TX, working in Cyber Security. Our youngest son lives in New York and works for a Tech company. We enjoy spending time with family and friends, hiking, and traveling. We love visiting the lake house as often as we can and we hope you enjoy it as much as we do.

Why they chose this property

Even though this property was falling apart when we purchased it, we fell in love with it. We renovated everything from the foundation, walls, and ceilings. You can not beat the view, it's relaxing and beautiful in all seasons.

What makes this property unique

This cottage has a beautiful lake view. If your looking for a peaceful relaxing vacation this is the place for you. For your inside entertainment, we provide a pool table, dart board, arcade machine with 60 classic games, board games, and Smart TVs. Outside we provide a hammock, water toys, outside games, 2 kayaks, and a paddle boat. Kayaks and paddle boat are to be used at your own risk.
