About this property

Ty Kreiz cottage: comfort and character in 15th century walls

The property.

Located in a quiet hamlet 12 km from Pontivy and 2 km from the village of Bieuzy, a beautiful group of buildings (15th to 19th centuries) of a traditional farm in operation until 1950 deserved to last, with a new life.
The daily workers' cottage is our home.
The Ty Forn (oven house) is used for neighborhood parties;
The longère (22ml-typical facade) is for you our guests, lovers of Argoat (the land of the woods) on endless hikes, of the incomparable calm of our property (2 ha with a farmyard, horse, pony etc.) and who also wish to discover Brittany

The gîte: Ty Kreiz
This means "Middle house" because it is placed in the heart of the longère in the oldest walls of the farm (from the 15th century), the restoration of which has highlighted the most interesting elements:
Facade, large fireplace, window frames, niches, sundial).
The large old beams, the massive table and the dresser also contribute to the rustic atmosphere of the gîte.

Outdoors
Work carried out in the 2015/2016 offseason provided the gîte with independent access and a garden in addition to the existing courtyard.
Access to the garden from the large farmyard where 2 parking spaces are reserved for the gîte.
Garden of 80 m2, private, completely enclosed and without any vis-à-vis, well exposed and sheltered.
Lawn and hydrangeas, Pergola of 9 m2 with table and chairs, deckchairs, stone oven for barbecue.
On the other facade, a flowery courtyard bounded by espalier trellises.

The Interior
Thanks to an original and clever layout the cottage offers on 3 levels and 70 m2 of floor space and comfort for a family (up to 6 people)
It welcomes babies very well: cot, change mat, high chair, available.

On the ground floor.
- "Living room" with the large fireplace equipped with a very efficient stove for winter.

 . Kitchen area: 2 gas burners, microwave, dishwasher + household appliances as required.

A lovely quiet and peaceful gite with lots of room.

Nicely finished and furnished accommodation, our hosts were a lovely couple and extremely helpful. Limited cooking facilities but no problem for us. Would certainly return.

Nous avons passé un super séjour. Raymonde et Charles sont très accueillants. Nous avons eu droit à des oeufs du poulailler, de la confiture maison et des legumes du jardin. Les enfants pouvaient rendrent visites au animaux tous les jours. Le gîte est très chouette avec le charme de son ancienne cheminée. Vraiment un endroit que nous recommandons vivement.

Avis sur séjour au Gîte de Kergoff Bieuzy 56310 du 30 août au 6 septembre 2024 :

Accueil peu chaleureux de la part de Madame Kerebel qui, bien qu’affichant un sourire commercial, nous a « abreuvés » dès notre arrivée de propos relatifs aux inconvénients qu’elle rencontre en louant ses gîtes (cela met tout de suite dans l’ambiance.) !!!.. En outre, cette dame (trop occupée à l’arrivée à nous dire tous les soucis qu’elle avait eus avec des locataires) a oublié l’essentiel, c’est-à-dire par exemple, de nous informer de choses indispensables mises à disposition dans sa location (par exemple : Les oreillers cachés dans des tiroirs sous le lit) nous reprochant ensuite de ne pas avoir « fouillé ».. Nous n'aurions pas osé "fouillé" nous n’osions rien faire vu ce ce qu'elle nous avait dit..! Le « pompon » : Nous sommes venus avec nos deux chiens « chihuahuas » à poils longs, puisque c’était admis. Nous avions pris l’option ménage 50 euros plus option confection des lits et linge de maison, 45 euros. Soit au total : 95 euros en plus du prix de la location. Lors de notre départ, Madame Kerebel s’est offusquée qu’il y ait des poils de chiens sur un tapis (tapis pour s’essuyer les pieds au bas d’un escalier, qui devait valoir tout au plus « 5 euros » .. ) Je lui ai proposé (bien qu’ayant payé l’option ménage) de le nettoyer, mais cette dernière préférait « bougonner » ! Des sourires .. très commerciaux ! Aucune sincérité dans tout ça!Très déçus de l’accueil qui fait pourtant partie du plaisir des vacances. Nous n'y remettrons jamais les pieds!

très décus surtout eu égard au prix payé!

Pas d'internet exploitable à l'intérieur de la maison contrairement à ce qui était dit, la salle de vie minuscule pour 5 personnes, seules les chambres étaient bien, très peu de matériel pour cuisiner, juste deux feux où il fallait faire cuire les steacks les uns après les autres, des remontées d'eaux sales quand les voisins se douchaient, les plombs qui sautaient facilement, le frigo minuscule (genre vieux frigo des chambres d'hôtel) qui faisait peu de froid. Vu qu'il fallait faire environ 15 km pour acheter le moindre aliment, peu pratique pour acheter de la viande d'avance! pas de placard pour ranger la nourriture, le robinet de la douche qui une fois les mains mouillées ne se tournait qu'avec un gant de toilette (donc impossible pour des gamins de 6 ans de se doucher seuls), bref, peut-être correct pour une semaine mais pas pour six semaines comme nous l'avions réservé! Nous sommes donc partis une semaine plus tôt!

Lieu très agréable et apaisant!

Notre séjour à Bieuzy s'est merveilleusement bien passé. Nos hôtes Raymonde et Charles ont été très gentils et bienveillants envers nous. Le lieu est très bien situé et très charmant, entouré de verdure et avec sa ferme à proximité, les enfants se sont bien amusé! C'est le lieu idéal pour décompresser! M et Mme Huchet

L'authenticité d'un gîte champêtre

Une semaine particulièrement agréable dans une ferme du XVème siècle superbement restaurée, dans une belle campagne de la Bretagne intérieure. Petites attentions des propriétaires très appréciables, comme par exemple le panier de légumes du potager !

Calme, c'est le maître mot de ce gîte.

Idéalement situé en plein centre-Bretagne. La région autour est magnifique. Et on n'est jamais bien loin (max 2h) de tous les sites remarquables de la contrée. Le gîte est au calme et confortable pour une famille de 5. Les hôtes sont charmants.

Repos magnifique a la campagne

C’etait un sejour incroyable! Nous etions ravis! Un gite magnifique dans une vraie campagne avec les chevaux, vaches, volaille,... on a profité une cheminée tous les soirs pour une ambience amicale et domicile. Les propriaitaires et aussi les voisins tres gentils. On propose a tous qui veulent passer un sejour de repos:)

Un séjour très agréable!

Gite exceptionnel, calme et reposant! Les propriétaires sont des personnes exceptionnelles, très attachées à leurs racines et qui savent vous en faire profiter. Le gite ne manque de rien et sa situation est parfaite pour allez découvrir la Bretagne. Excellent séjour passé dans ce coin de paradis!!!! Je recommande ;-)

Séjour trés agréable, correspondant à nos attentes, avec un beau cadre et un bon accueil

Nous avons profité du cadre champêtre et reposant, dans un gite au caractère breton, confortable, bien aménagé, et notamment avec une bonne literie et des espaces extérieurs privés, joliment aménagés. L'accueil est attentionné (bouquets de fleurs dans le gite par ex) et chaleureux. L'annonce correspond à l'aménagement du gite qui est bien entretenu. Nos échanges avec les propriétaires, M & Mme Kerebel nous ont permis de profiter des manifestations et des lieux intéressants à proximité. Très proches, il faut aller à St Nicolas des Eaux, découvrir le Blavet et voir la chapelle St Nicodème...
