Hosts were very kind and helpful! The cabin was clean, and so very beautiful. Our group enjoyed the theater room and the two docks on the lake. The children loved the sand area as well as all of the water toys included in our stay. Check in and out was extremely easy. Would recommend to friends and family for any future plans.

Beautiful beach and a lake with crystal clear water. The views from just about any room in the house are absolutely wonderful. The building is inspiring and spacious with a large kitchen perfect for serving the large group it can accommodate. The beds are comfortable and the seating spaces are numerous and comfortable.Our only reason for giving it four stars instead of five was the extremely late check-in time of 5pm. Most VRBO check-ins are midafternoon, giving some time to use the beach and facilities for part of the first day of the stay.

We had fun at the cabin. The air wasn't working, but the host quickly sent someone out. There aren't curtains, so the sun would beat in and the sun came up early which was harder. The Smart TVs were harder to work, but it was okay. Fun stay!

The cabin and lake view was beautiful. On top of great amenities to accommodate for a large group. The iPads were a great and was able to use the theater without issues. The hosts had great communication and were very welcoming. We definitely would love to return back!!

Blackwater Lodge

We enjoyed all of the amenities this home had to offer. The pontoon, fire pit, sandy beach, toys for kids, and tubes for the boat. The interior is gorgeous and nicely appointed.

Family Reunion

We selected this VRBO for a family reunion and glad we did. The first 2 days were cooler so we spent more time inside. The layout and size of this VRBO was prefect.

Had a wonderful time. First time in a long time getting everyone together. This place was an amazing location to be together and had all the accommodations to make it a perfect reunion. We all would love to come back again in the future.

Best of vacations

Everything was great and lots of toys for kids. Enjoyed the fire pit and sand to play in. The kitchen was well stocked and appreciated the paper products furnished. Would truly recommend this property for all ages.

Maximum space, great extras.

Lots of space for our group of 20 and excellent common areas for gathering. Large TVs were a huge plus during the Olympics. Yard space to play, right next gradual walk in sandy beach.

Lake getaway

We had a family gathering at Blackwater Lodge with 15 people. The property was beautiful. Plenty of space for everyone. A very quiet lake. We would definitely return.

Beautiful home on clean lake

The lake home is beautiful with the “up north” feel. The lake was nice and quiet with very clear water. The kitchen has everything you need, plus some. There is plenty of space both inside and out. We rented the pontoon and it worked great. Our group had a great time and everyone was impressed with the home.

We thought each bedroom would have a bathroom, wrong not that bad but not expecting that, the Lilypad, kayaks and all water related items were super, grand kids loved it. We rented the pontoon, and it was great. Very roomy house very small outside deck. Overall was great for our family.

Great for a Friend Trip

We stayed at Blackwater Lodge for an annual friend trip and it was fantastic! Loved it! Very comfortably slept our group of 9. The cabin itself was very clean and easy to navigate. The spaces to gather were great! It is a bit pricey, but you get what you pay for, I guess. The only regret is not getting more time to fully utilize everything there is to offer with the property!

Graduation Get Together

We had some family come in from different areas of the country to celebrate a high school graduation. There was plenty of room for all twelve of us (10 adults and 2 teenagers). The accommodations were great. We also rented the pontoon which was in great running order. The host was prompt in responding to any/all questions. Overall, our family had a wonderful visit! I would highly recommend the place.

Awesome work retreat!

We booked this property for a work retreat for our employees. Great amenities and access to the lake. We had a fabulous time! Our only complaint (which isn't a big one-just a heads up for others) is that the property lists that it sleeps 25 people but there are only enough beds for 18. The remaining 7 people have to sleep on air mattresses in the living room. Overall we had a fantastic time and really enjoyed the property and our employees are begging to come back next year!

Amazing place

Love the place! Spent my 5 year cancer free there with my loving family and friends. Owner was fast with response and AMAZING at meeting you half way if you needed something. Property is amazing but needs to fix the kitchen faucets. Water barely came out, so it was hard to clean pots. Overall amazing getaway and all the comments explain everything correctly.. Thank you Sarah for making a beautiful memory for my 5 year cancer free! This will be implanted forever in my heart with friends and family. We will always talk how amazing your cabin is until we get old, thanks again.
