2 hours from Bordeaux, Toulouse, Limoges, 4 hours from Lyon, for a weekend or a stay in the heart of the Périgord Noir, between Sarlat and Lascaux, in Saint-Geniès, the manor of Rieu d'Isabelle and Philippe welcomes you since 1997 in a house of character of the XVI ° century from 80 euros the night, breakfasts and all taxes included. Heel fijne vakantie

We werden zeer warm ontvangen door Isabelle en Philippe, die steeds ter beschikking stonden voor onze vragen. Het huis en het zwembad zijn een genot voor wie rust zoekt. Ondanks dat we weinig wisten over de streek, hebben de eigenaars ons enkele leuke tips gegeven waardoor we de prachtige omgeving wat beter hebben leren kennen. Zeker aangeraden dus!

Beautiful house with friendly and helpful hosts

My wife, two teenagers and I stayed in this house for 2 nights in August 2018. The house and the property are just gorgeous. The guest rooms are on the second floor of the attached carriage house/stable. Everything is very recently updated/restored by the owners and in great (new) condition. The hosts do not speak much English, but they do speak some. Philippe and Isabelle are extremely friendly and try very hard to run a first class B&B. The breakfasts were tasty, but also beautifully presented. The grounds of the property are very pretty and well maintained. On our first night there (a Wednesday), they invited us to join them and their friends from town (St. Genies) at a local Market Festival. It was our favorite night of our two weeks in France. Very special. Later, Philippe helped my wife deal with her lost luggage situation, providing advice regarding the local postal service and hanging around the house to receive the luggage for us if it was delivered. And they have a big beautiful friendly dog, which we all loved. We would recommend this property enthusiastically!

Chambres d'hôtes dans ancienne demeure restaurée et équipée avec goût, au calme absolue

Chambres d'hôtes dans ancien manoir typique de la région et préservant un toit de lauze sur la maison principal. Au calme absolue, situation idéale pour la visite de la région, à proximité la grotte de Lascaux et d'autres sites préhistoriques, la ville de Sarlat avec son centre historique et ses maisons nobles typiques de la région, les jardins d'Eyrignac, ... Nous avons également profité de la chaleur de l'été pour descendre la rivière Dordogne en canoë entre Vitrac et Beynac, en admirant plusieurs châteaux et en profitant de la possibilité de baignade quasi-continue. Chambres équipés avec goût, jardins et espace piscine très agréable, le top étant le petit déjeuner au calme dans le jardin entouré des oiseaux. A conseiller sans hésitation.
