Gross and Run Down - Not Recommended
Where to begin - the ceiling finish in almost every room was stained and deteriorated paint sections falling in from apparent water damage. One of which was a fist-size hole, crumbling ceiling hole within the cabinet to the right of the oven. The particle board cabinets on either side of the oven were swollen and stained. Gaps around most switch/outlet plates were nasty. Preparing a meal in that kitchen out of the question. The door to the room with the twin beds wouldn't shut because the floor puckered up. The light chain for the ceiling fan in another bedroom was seized and not functional. The deteriorated caulked rim of the tub in the main bathroom was moldy and disgusting - no chance for a calming bath. The floor of the screened-in deck was astro-turf covered in animal hair, which was soaking wet when we arrived - no chance of that drying out and being clean anytime soon so avoided the deck. One of the power outlet boxes near the dining room wasn’t secure, so the whole box seemed like it was going to fall out during use. And the outside shower, which is depicted in the main listing photo was completely missing the privacy screen - and there was no shower head. We had reserved two nights and drove down from Raleigh, but we left and went home after the first morning because it was just disgusting. We frequently use VRBO for other vacation properties that are well cared for by proud owners. But this was a joke. The renters should be ashamed of this place.

Relaxing and comfortable winter escape!
Thank you for the clean and fully stocked vacation cottage only a short walk from the beach. The house was perfect for our family and dog to relax and enjoy the sunshine of NC. I had coffee on the porch listening to the ocean and birds each morning. the house ceiling needs a few paint touch ups but did not bother us. We had a wonderful winter getaway and hope to return again!
