Very nice cabin. Incredible view. Close to anything you need or want to see or do. We fish from Calico Rock Trout dock. Only about 3 or 4 minutes away. Have stayed here several times and would love to stay there the next time we are up there.

Thanks for being great guests-see you next time you come to Calico Rock overlooking the White River.
Host immediately answered when we called and assisted us with gaining entry to the property. The amenities were excellent. We have always enjoyed our stay here and look forward to future visits.
Our third time staying at this location. Love the set up and the covered patio to enjoy the beautiful view!

Had a wonderful time
View is spectacular, house is very beautiful, and towns people are very friendly.
Took a tour of Blanchard Springs Caverns while on this trip, and it is a must see if you have never visited the caverns.

Housekeeping gave Jacob's Party a 5/5 rating.
Great guest.
Highly recommend to other VRBO.Com owners.
We loved it. 3 brothers met to fish Calico Rock trout dock. We fished 3 days and the house made the trip even better. We caught so many fish our arms were tired. Goodness made it easy to recoup and be ready for next day.

Beautiful view!
Amazing view! Very nice, spacious, and clean! Will most likely book again in the future. It’s right on the bluff, so I wouldn’t take toddlers. However it’s a great place for a family. Wish we could’ve stayed longer.

Thanks for the nice review.Glad you enjoyed yourself. Both my 406 (302 Chessmond Ferry Rd ) and my 500 (390 Chessmond Ferry Rd ) Calico St properties have "killer views" with 500 being safer for kids since it doesn't have a direct exit from the deck to the bluff.
This cabin is the perfect place for two couples.
The view is spectacular. This was the third time we stayed here. The cabin is clean and spacious. Has all the amenities that we need. The television is a little difficult to figure out, but we hardly ever turned it on. I would highly recommend this cabin to anyone.
Very nice property . Garage was nice , since it rained on afternoon/evening when arriving . I was able to clean my custom car in garage . Only thing missing was there were no end tables in living room or bedrooms to set things on( drinks, phone ) Shower and water pressure were great . Easy to find , no dirt roads or gravel .

It's all about the views
I don't think there's a better view of the White River and the valley below. The house is sparsely decorated and literally has no tables inside or additional blankets, so plan to bring some fuzzy blankets during colder days. There's a porch dining set and a bar for eating areas. ELectric garage door opener was useful. The beds are very comfortable as well. But, ultimately it's all about the spectacular views--waking up to them each day is marvelous.

Dixie,
Glad you enjoyed the view and your time at the property. As you pointed out there is a kitchen bar that seats six and a river deck patio table that seats 4-6 people. The bedspreads on the beds;(2 kings and 1 queen) are extra heavy and along with the sheets have provided sufficient warmth at 70-72 deg house temp for me and all the guests to date.I intentionally don't have a lot of tables and furniture to give guests the maximum amount of free space in the inside areas where most guests use the spacious closets and their suitcases for their wardrobes.
The cabin was as described and quite clean. Great central location for exploring the river, Blanchard Springs, Mtn View, etc. We enjoyed sitting on the porch in the evenings.
The only issue was the mattresses are very soft and lumpy - my husband and I ended up sleeping on the couch all 4 nights (luckily there are 2 sofas). Also, the towels in the master bath really need to be replaced - they have holes and look like raggedy cleaning towels.
We did accidentally leave a few important things in the cabin and the cleaning lady said she didn’t “have time” to mail them to us. So we drove back an hour and a half.
Other than those minor issues, we enjoyed the cabin and the stay!

Mattress are rated medium/firm by most guests.I find them on the firm side personally.
Towels have already been replaced since ,I agree it was time for new towels. Most guest comments on the mattresses have been on the too firm side-hard to keep everyone satisfied..
Housekeeping attempts to return any items left by guests as long as the expenses for doing so are met.
The home was clean and there were plenty of kitchen utensils. The view of the White River and cattle ranch were wonderful. We had so much fun spotting wildlife and watching the sunrises and sunsets. The only suggestion I have is to add a luggage stand in the guest rooms because we had to put suitcases on the floor. There is a bench in the primary bed room, which was great. The beds are very comfortable, however, there is only one night stand in the bedrooms. A small table on the other side of the beds would be nice for placing phone and eyeglasses.
We were very happy that this place has a garage to park our vehicle in and store fishing equipment. We have already recommended this home to friends.
Best property to rent. Immaculate, beautiful view of the White River, fully equipped, beds are so comfortable. No better place to stay. Housekeeper, Mae lives close and will be at your beckon call for anything. Words cannot explain this beautiful home. Just have to see for yourself.
Great location, great stay, signage and rules a little aggressive.
Let me start by saying that we very much enjoyed our stay at this rental in Calico Rock. It was what I would consider very close to a five star accommodation. I'm going to attempt to give my clearest and most unbiased review of the property.
House- 5* The house is beautiful and pristine. It is clear that it has been well maintained and cared for. There is a consistent color theme throughout the house. All work appears to have been completed by licensed contractors. Showers tubs and furniture were all in perfect condition (some thought the beds a little stiff but not myself). The view is indeed a "million dollar view". The house sets closer to its neighbors then was expected but this did not ultimately diminish the stay.
Accomodations- 4* the accommodations in the house are adequate. Soap, dishwashing detergent, and towels were all in abundant supply. There's an ample supply of plates, dishes and silverware. We did run into a few shortages that were unexpected. The house had a coffee maker (automatic Keurig style) but there was no complimentary coffee included. One roll of paper towels was supplied to us. We attempted to consistently clean up after ourselves and ended up using the entire roll before finishing our stay. There were no extra "frills" or "courtesy packages" as you might find in some other bed and breakfasts' but all in all we felt that we were adequately supplied.
Instructions and communication - 3.5* the host was clear about rules and expectations. We did have a difficult time finding the code to unlock the lockbox in email but ultimately found it (probably our fault). There was abundant signage and also a rule book of sorts to clarify expectations. As a fellow business owner, and landlord I appreciated the clarity and thoroughness of guidance. The quantity and verbiage of the signage and rules did feel somewhat excessive and perhaps slightly aggressive (more than likely the owner has been taken advantage of by renters). We felt that the content of the signage was necessary but the directness and quantity of rules (do not...shall not...$100 fine at owner's discretion) eroded some of the "luxury" appeal of the stay
Overall - 4.5* Overall I would consider this an excellent rental. The house and location are excellent. With gorgeous views, a nice deck and close proximity to the river it made for a wonderful weekend trip. Accommodations and signage could be improved slightly but were not a major detractor. I would recommend this.
