About this property

Tiki Tiny House at Volcano, HI

This secluded tiny house is just minutes from the National park. Beautiful features, inside and out. Test out tiny house living while you enjoy Hawaii. Spacious enough for families: with 1 queen and 2 full-size beds (sleeps 6), but also cozy and beautiful for any romantic couple wanting a getaway. We provide the best mattresses money can buy for your perfect night sleep, and soft bamboo sheets that will make you not want to get out of bed in the morning.

Enjoy some coffee or hot chocolate on the lanai and admire the picturesque greenery of the ohia trees, huge ferns, tea leaves, banana trees, liko lehua, as well as beautiful flowers, and listen to the native birds and other wildlife. We provide a book with all the amenities of the house and with things to do in the area to make your stay easy, relaxing, and enjoyable. We are also always close by for anything you may need.

Enjoy great WiFi, free Netflix and Disney Plus, a fully equipped kitchen pots, pans, dishes, utensils, etc. (with full-sized appliances) for eating in, washer and dryer, dehumidifier, umbrellas, towels, shampoo, liquid body soap, and 2 showers. For those wanting a breathtaking shower experience, enjoy our outdoor private rainwater shower among the rainforest ferns. We try to combine our love for nature with spoiling you with every amenity we can think of.

We pride ourselves to give you a 5-star experience just a few minutes from the National Park, Lava tube caves, Restaurants, hiking, shops, art galleries and craft venues, Sunday morning farmers market, and golf. Just a little further and you have Green and Black sand beaches with turtles, Akaka Falls, Botanical Gardens, helicopter, and boat rides. At night spend some time stargazing on Mauna Kea summit or just there at the house. We promise to do everything to make your visit both memorable and enjoyable.

The Tiki Tiny House is situated on a quiet street with little traffic. The house is located in the town of Volcano, which is close to three thousand feet in elevation, so it does get a bit colder up in this area (temperatures sometimes dropping to the low fifties (F) at night). The southeast part of the Big Island does get a decent amount of rainfall, so it is normal that you encounter some showers at some point throughout the day. Volcano Village is only five to ten minutes away and has a couple of general stores, a hardware store, a gas station, and several great restaurants and cafés. There are also a couple art galleries and even a winery. Every Sunday there is also a farmer’s market held in Volcano Village where you can buy local produce and more. Volcanoes National Park is also extremely close, where you have access to a discount price gas station, a restaurant, unique hiking trails, a view of the active volcano, and even a bowling alley! The park is open 24hrs, so you may enter at any time. The best time to see the active volcano is definitely after dark on a clear night. The closest airport near Volcano is in Hilo, which is about 40 minutes away. Kona also has an airport on the other side of the island, but it is about two hours away. The nearest beaches are about a forty minutes drive from Volcano. A favorite is the Black Sand Beach on the south portion of the island. The southeast part of the Island has so much to see. Definitely have a rental vehicle available to catch a glimpse of all the gems this side has to offer!

Fun experience
We were looking for a place for a family of four, and I had to book when I found a "Tiny House". My wife is a HGTV junkie and we've seen a lot of the Tiny House shows. It would have been a tight fit for 6, but still doable. The outside itself is really nice. We had dinner outside. The outdoor shower was interesting. A word of advice for anyone travelling to Volcano - bring food. Grocery and restaurant options are very, very limited. Tiki Tiny has a complete kitchen.

Great little place😊
We loved our stay and while it was “tiny” there was plenty of room for four adults. The outdoor shower was an added bonus!

Aloha 🌺 ohana
This was a perfect place for our family of four. Had all the needed necessities and space. The location was pure perfection! The volcano even erupted during our stay adding to the excitement of our trip. Volcano 🌋 is beautiful and held the ideal back drop to our tropical expectations of the Big Island. Loved the ono fish and chips at Dimples right down the street. Mahalo from Texas

Nice place
Had a pleasant stay with family of 5 at this property which was very convenient to Hawaii Volcanos National Park. Would definitely stay here again if back on the big island.

Hello, my name is Robbie Falconburg LaCelle. I was born and raised in Twin Falls, Idaho and moved to Nampa, Idaho a couple years ago. I work for a local hospital in the Treasure Valley area.

My goal is to provide a wonderful experience with the highest level of service at an affordable rate. All the amenities of an upscale BNB environment focused on phenomenal service.

We have three homes! One in Volcano, Hawaii and Two in Nampa, Idaho.

Big Island, it is the best island in Hawaii. There are so many things you can enjoy on this island: beautiful stars, beaches, Hawaii Volcanoes National Park, snow atop Mauna Kea and tropical fruits all year. Our home in Volcano, Hawaii offers an outdoor shower!

We love to meet people who visit from all over the world!!

Why they chose this property

This is a very special house with a lot of personality and care in a very small place! The ability to sleep up to 6 people in such a small square footage is amazing, yet because of the lovely outside covered patio with skylight, it rarely feels cramped. The outdoor rain shower in the ferns is an experience on its own, and experiencing the wildlife up close is magical. Such as watching wild pheasants just stroll on by, or listening to the coqui frogs at night! The thick jungle offers you total privacy, while still being a perfect home base to adventure around the area.

What makes this property unique

This is paradise, and as such has no predators. No mosquitoes are found due to the rain forest. Of course it's a rainforest, so it has some bugs, moths, and strange looking plant life, but very few mosquitos because of the high elevation. At night the frogs chirp and you may even catch a glimpse of a pig, pheasant, or chameleon. Take it all in and enjoy the cool nights and the beautiful landscape. We are fully fitted with a kitchen, bathroom and even a washer and dryer. We also have both an indoor and outdoor shower. For those wanting to see what it is like to live in a tiny home, this is the ticket. We decorated this home with an industrial yet tropical and quirky feel we believe you will appreciate. Whether you have a family in tow or just for 2, this is a great cozy, fun, and beautiful home to stay in while you visit the Big Island.

We provide a manual which also lists restaurants and many things to do. Even though it is small, over a million people visit the park located only a few miles away every year. One of the only places on Earth to see and observe an active live volcano. People love this place because of the beautiful jungle, full of wonderful plants and things to do close by. Enjoy our Tiki Tiny House as a home base to explore the island, taking advantage of the sights not found in too many places on earth.
