Fit our needs.
Perfect for what we needed. A place to rest, sleep and shower while we toured Boston and Cambridge. And 1/3 the cost of the cheapest hotel. Clean. Another reviewer mentioned quirky. True but it's a renovated basement. We didn't use the shared kitchen but it looked fine. With the cost of living, it's probably normal in Boston to have multiple tenants in the same house. We wouldn't hesitate to stay if we come to Boston again.
It met our needs
The beds were clean and comfortable and the water pressure in the shower was great. No shampoo and previously used bars of soap were off-putting. Also, the VRBO bathroom and the shared kitchen were not clean. We had to disassemble and scrub each of the coffee maker components before making coffee. The lock took several tries each time but we always managed to get in! Many desirable destinations (bars, restaurants, Whole Foods, T, etc) within easy walking distance. Complaints are minor and would be easy to address. It was perfect for our trip.
Great home base for exploring Boston
This basement apartment is not particularly fancy. But it is clean, spacious, and comfortable. My adult son and I stayed here over a long weekend for baseball and sightseeing. It worked perfectly.
There are multiple restaurants and bars within waking distance. The first night we walked into a nearby
bar right before the local firefighter softball team showed up for a victory celebration. Between the tshirts and the Boston accents, it was like being in a sitcom.
You'll need a car or Uber-type app to get around. It's not a reasonable walk to the historic sites or Fenway Park unless you're a lot more dedicated to hiking than I am. Still, most Uber rides were under 30 minutes.
Perfect for our stay.
Exactly what we needed for our trip to Boston. The space was nice and cozy. Thanks for making everything so easy for us
Get what you pay for.
This little basement apartment is in a good area with lots of restaurants and the bus stop around the corner. That is the ONLY positive thing I can say. The space is dirty, moldy shower area, spots on ceiling tiles and the shared kitchen was filthy and we chose not to use it at all. Would not recommend.
Great price and location
We enjoyed our stay in this quirky basement. Plenty of space for my husband, myself and our daughter. Very close to wonderful restaurants. Bus stops nearby allow for public transport to and from airport as well as campus. Kenneth was helpful and answered our questions right away.
Cambridge is one of the most vibrant and multicultural parts of the greater Boston area, home to many universities, MIT and Harvard most notably. It is also home to many hi-tech startups, scientific research, medical and military companies.
